The Miami Hurricanes are 16-9 overall, and 7-7 in the ACC with 2 games remaining, 1 at home against Ga. Tech, and one on the road at Duke. Is there anyway anyone can envision a scenario in which the Canes make it to the tourney without winning the Conference tournament?...thanks in advance guys...

I think they do. They dont need to get humiliated in the tourney though! They still have some games left in the season that they must win. Who knows about the commitee though!

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution today said this is the ACC bubble picture. They think the top maybe 5 teams from ACC?

According to the AJC:

Ga Tech Pros- sympathy pts for Elder injury
Cons- stumbling down the stretch; Wake only big win

Maryland Pros- swept Duke; No. 26 RPI
Cons- swept by Cemson; UNC on deck

Miami Pros- Beat Florida; 7-9 may make it this year
Cons- How did they lose to South Carolina St?

N.C. State Pros- Swept Ga Tech and Maryland
Cons- No wins over ACC Big 3

Virginia Tech Pros- Upset Duke, Maryland toughest left
Cons- 101 RPI; lost to VMI, W. Mich

If Miami beats Ga Tech It will be the dagger for GT. I think N.C. State gets in for sure and Miami will be in a great position if they play well against Duke.

Some think ACC gets seven teams in?

i mean the tech game at home is winnable, though it obviously won't be easy at all...i don't see them pulling off any upset at Cameron...i guess theyre showing in the acc tourney would have something to do with it...even if they don't make it, i feel somewhat satisfied that they where able to be pretty competitive in their first year in the acc

Very simple....they split, they are in imo.

.500 in the ACC is better than winning about 20 conferences in the nation.

miami would need to sweep to get in or get second or better in the ACC tourney. they are an outside outside bubble team at best.

They have a shot, just like my Indiana Hoosiers, because of their conference record....

IU needs an upset of Mich St. at home, and beat NW at home, and even if they lose to Wiscy on the road, they end up 10-6 in the big 10, and i think that gives them a shot, even with a very mediocre record...

The first round game in the Big 10 tourney the 4-5 matchup would be Indiana/Minnesota, and it might very well be a matchup for the 4th team from the Big 10 to get in....

Indiana's overall record is not impressive, but their preconference schedule was the toughest around, and this team has gotten better as the season goes by, and these freshmen are really coming around......

AJ Ratliff, is playing with confidence now, and draining 3's from all over, and now that Bracey is back healthy, gives them a lethal outside combo, and DJ White on the inside is becoming a force, bringing back memories of Darryl Thompson, Uwe Blab, and Kent Benson....We havent had a really good big guy, in a long time, and this kid is just a freshman, and backed up by Patrick Ewing Jr...who is playing solid.....

Believe it or not, many publications will have IU picked to win the Big 10 next year, with these guys having a year under their belts and the transfers that are sitting out this year, being eligible next year....

Not if Williams and Brown come back to school.

Dee Brown
Deron Williams
James Augustine
Brian Randle (injured and out this year)
Marcus Arnold (transfer from IL State and ineligible this year)

You are correct Illini, however i dont see that happening.....

Maybe 1 or 2 return, but i say 2/3 leave.......

Especially if they win it all this year....
