I don't know much about Oregon but I can't believe that Michigan St did not get a number 1 seed.if you ask me I don't think Virginia should be a number1 seed

i'm a newby but do #1 vs. #2 seedings matter when there isn't a dominant #1 team? i know geography matters but not sure how that ties into seedings?... obviously pride, but is that highly relevent?

i am reading quickly but did all of st mary's, monmouth, valpo (not really on bubble) and SDSU miss making the tourney?

i think they either need to cut down on 6th-8th best teams in power conferences, make some minimum standard on obscure conference champions (i.e. one of the best team in RS and won the tourney) or just expand the monday/tuesday games.

how much more diluted would the whole experience be if you added 8 more non-elite conference teams to monday/tuesday. sdsu would make it as MWC is not elite.... could you dilute much more than it's already been diluted?

sorry if some of things i said were wrong... . new to this and writing very quickly.

wow, sagarin with MCS at #2. oregon at #15....

i wonder if there are enough meaningful non-conference games for power ratings to be accurate.

strikes me that pac12 this year had a bunch of non-traditional teams do well and while some traditionally good programs had off years they are still fairly good teams... not sure this would get picked up accurately with so few meaningful non-conference games (of course, cal losing to SDSU doesn't help, ucla (usc too) losing to monmouth too)

Mich St has the easiest path to Final Four.. NC the toughest... NC's region is brutal...

How Seton Hall is a 2 point dog to Gonzaga is baffling. Hall has won 12 of its last 14 and beat Xavier twice and Nova in the last 2 weeks. Gonzaga has beaten 2 top 50 teams all season (St Mary's and UConn). I don't see how Gonzaga is going to be able to guard Whitehead, Carrington, or Rodriguez. Seton Hall is also 23-9 vs. the number so far.

Also, like Iona +8 vs. Iowa State. AJ English might be the best player on the court here. This game should be a track meet but Iowa State only goes 6 deep and playing in Denver with the altitude could be a pretty big factor. Iona is going to run the entire 40 minutes and go 8 or 9 deep. I think Iowa State will win a nail biter something like 92-88 but Iona can win this game.

Looking at Fresno +10 as well. Lost by 5 at Oregon, had the lead at half at Arizona before running out of gas late, and beat San Diego State twice. Marvelle Harris was best player in the MWC. How does Utah bounce back after getting drubbed by 30 by Oregon Saturday night?

no, and it's repeated every year that teams move from one seed up or down for location or matchup purposes.
it might make sense to swap MSU and Oregon so they play in better locations.

sparty should have no complaints.....
