Best of luck tonight, United. I'm curious what you see in Missouri on the road @ Utah? Looks like Mizz opened with a lopsided win vs Iowa St. but then Iowa St. also got blown out by Milwaukee.
I like the line movement to +4 but other than that I'm scratching my head on this one. Utah is a long road trip and Missouri was atrocious last year. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!
Sorry but have been out.
I know that Porter got hurt about two minutes into Missouri first game of the year. I also know that his replacement (Robertson) was a 4 year player out of Canisius. He scored 23 against Wagner and is the teams leading scorer at 17 ppg. SO, Yes it would be nice if Porter was playing but I believe Missouri will be just fine. They have the top recruiting class in Missouri history and the nations 5th ranked recruiting class. Add that to 4 returning starters, who all aren't starting anyway this year, and they have a pretty good team. Porters brother Jontay (6'11) is scoring at 8 ppg and 6 rebs, The other freshman Tillman (6'0) is scoring 10 ppg and 4 rebs, (he was the player that Illinois had landed but got out of there with the coach being released. These guys are tough.
Throw in Martin (who wins wherever he goes) whose teams are know for not letting up I like the play.
Utah returned 2 starters and lost 3 players off last years team that were averaging 16.4, 9.9, and 6.7 ppg. (that's a lot of firepower)
Utah ended last season on a 11 game losing streak including a first round loss in the NIT at home.
They are 2-0 and have blasted Prairie View A & M 83-62 and Miss V St 91-50. I would hope so.
Missouri 2-0 with a solid win over Iowa St 74-59,(down this year but still a solid program with a good coach) and beat the pants off Wagner 99-55.
So, yes they have to travel b ut last played on Monday and should be well rested.
They may lose this game on the road (never easy) but I still feel like getting Missouri and points is the way to go in this one. (JUST MY OPINION)
