INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) - Instant replay will become a part of Division I-A football games after all.
More than two months after tabling the issue, the NCAA's Playing Rules Oversight Panel (PROP) on Tuesday approved a proposed video-replay system for games starting this fall.
On February 9, the NCAA on Thursday approved a standardized video-review system across all Division I-A conferences that would have a video official review all plays and allow each team one challenge per game.

The delay allowed the Football Rules Committee to receive input from the American Football Coaches Association and the Division I-A Collegiate Commissioners Association, which met in late April.
On Tuesday, the panel approved a revised proposal by the Football Rules Committee that calls for one challenge per team per game, provided the squad requesting the challenge has a timeout available. If the challenge is successful, the team will keep its timeout, but that will be the only challenge allowed in the game for the squad. If the challenge fails, a timeout will be charged.

Now if they would just vote to keep the clock running after first downs are made I won't have to sit through any more 4 hour games.

how about keeping the clock running when players step out of bounds, except in the 4thQ.

yeah, 4 hour games are tough to sit through.

I am with you pags! As a mostly DOG player, I want to do away with OT or not have it count for the spread. I would lay a little more juice to NOT have OT count ATS. LT:103631605

What's really hard on my ulcer is when I take the UNDER play and I'm a good 10 points under the totals until somebody ties it up and it goes into overtime. And then the teams trade TD's with each other and blows me out of the water. This slow death happens to me at least a couple times every season. It's getting to where I play less and less Under plays every year for that very reason.

pags

Did you have to bring that Iowa St vs Nebraska game up again? :lolBIG:

I blew the game and total both on the Missed FG from the Huskers that sent that thing to OT, naturally those Unders are Worthless when OT arrives!!

When we are at this part of the year I would take a nice 5 hours game.

Nothing like watching Cal and stanford at 1:00 am in triple overtime with some cold Shiner bock

I am ready for some college football. Can you tell?

When it's the last game of the night I say don't ever let it end. When it's the first game of a double header that cuts in to a game involving my Sooners I say get this shit overwith already.
