Don’t think I’ve ever seen a hoops game go under by more than half the total

Did they really score 24 points for the game and only 10 points in 2nd half? How does that even happen lol

WOWZER!!!!

Raleigh

Virginia Tech did not have star Justin Robinson on Saturday. N.C. State did not have its offense.

The 23rd-ranked Wolfpack set a new scoring low in the shot-clock era in a 47-24 loss to No. 12 Virginia Tech on Saturday. It was the fewest points scored by N.C. State (16-6, 4-5 ACC) since a 12-10 win over Duke in the 1968 ACC tournament.

It topped the Wolfpack’s low since the shot clock was adopted by the college game in the 1985-86 season. That was a 38-36 neutral-site loss to Princeton in Nov. 1997.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) Kerry Blackshear had 13 points and 13 rebounds Saturday to help No. 12 Virginia Tech beat No. 23 North Carolina State 47-24 in the Wolfpack's lowest-scoring output of the shot-clock era.

N.C. State made just 9 of 54 shots for the game, a conversion rate of 16.7 percent that included a 2-for-28 showing from 3-point range. It was N.C. State's lowest scoring output in any game since managing 12 points in a win against Duke in the 1968 ACC Tournament, nearly two decades before the implementation of the shot clock

Wait a minute....hold on....they won a game scoring 12 points? How many did Duke score....8? I get no shot clock, but damn. Who could stand watching those games playing keep away the entire game lol

12-10...it was 4-2 at half....I like the "flurry of action" wording....

So, N.C. State took advantage of not having a shot clock and held the ball without challenge from Duke for most of the game. At one point in the first half, Bill Kretzer, the Wolfpack’s senior center, retained possession of the ball near midcourt for 14 consecutive minutes. Duke led 4-2 at halftime, but N.C. State secured the win in a flurry of action in the final two minutes of the game.

The team stats are mind boggling! 16% fg, 7% 3pt, only 66% FT and only nine made fgs for ncst....lol. kids or not...oddly enough, they only gave up 47. Haha

A lot of these teams are "burned-out" after 20 plus games already played with a long way to go to seasons-end.
