.55 to win .5 teaser: 76ers ML/Nets +11

Buying into the 76ers hype. The fact that it's first game of the season at home makes me think they ought to be able to at least win.

Mostly trailing Homie with the Nets, but double-digits in the NBA is always nice. And I told myself going into the season that I was going to bet against the Wizards through the first 1/3 of the season...so we'll see how that works out.

More play to come later.

like the teaser, I actually think Nets have a decent chance to steal this game str8 up, Wizards are used to playing banged up but still think that without Arenas and a no Haywood, they are gonna get pounded on the glass by the Jersey bigs (Boone, Yi, Williams, even Lopez)...Wiz have to shoot 46-48% in order to win this game, as 2nd chance points should go to Nets front line...

Gonna try and get rid of that awkward .275 number.

ML parlay (-185): Rockets and Hornets. 1.35 to win .725.

Rockets will win. That should be a lock if anybody that's previewed the NBA knows what they're talking about.

And the Hornets ought to be able to at least win. Not sure they will cover the spread as they're going all the way out to play at Oakland - a very tough place - but I like CP3 to at least pull out a win.

like the 2nd parlay too...might start trying my hand at it, as your getting decent odds with solid teams....do you find that these 2-3 teamers are usually good, and do you usually take favorites or dogs using this method? Good luck tonight

I haven't really tried this strategy much, but after watching Dsethi tear it up in NCAAB last year with his ML parlays, I'm going to try it.

Last season I tried betting NBA for the first time and was ridiculously hot to start the season (seriously hitting 90%), but then I got smoked around midseason and quit betting altogether. When the playoffs started back up I got back into and did well again.

I'm typically a favorites better, as I prefer to take good teams and hope they play to their potential rather than take mediocre teams and hope the better team doesn't show up, but that might change a bit with NBA.

I plan on betting on Cleveland/Orlando/and Houston games a lot this season, fwiw, and will probably never make any plays on Memphis/Sacramento/or Seattle.

Adding T'Wolves ML: 1.15 to win .5

Home game, opening night, against a really bad team. T'wolves suck too, but not as bad as the Kings.

Adding ML parlay: Heat/Suns - .5 to win 1.81
ML parlay: Phillies/Rockets - .5 to win .4

Recap:

76ers/Nets +11 - .55 to win .5
Rockets ML/Hornets ML - 1.35 to win .725
T'Wolves ML - 1.15 to win .5
Phils ML/Rockets ML - .5 to win .4
Heat ML/Suns ML - .5 to win 1.81

That's probably it for the night. Might put another play on the Suns, or tail Greenbacks if he plays anything, but that's enough for the first full card. GL everybody.
