where to find out who's going to ref. the games before they start???? covers has excellent stats on individual refs. o/u

some players on this board pretty good at that; I'm not. Thinking who's gonna blow the whistles ahead of time would really help!!!

For example really think the sea/dal. will go under; yet more often than not w/these lines it will go over. It's a coin flip sometimes and really would like to have a better edge.

This info is top secret. I would love to know as well. I have tried for 3+ years to get this info and no luck. It is held under wraps.

Sammy if you don't mind waiting to the last minute, but still in time to make a play. Go to this page and watch for the lineups to come up (less than 5 minute before tip-off) you will also see the Refs scheduled for the game. You might want to have your sportsbook cued up also, in case you have to scramble.

Guys,,,
this was party to one of the biggest SCAMS of all time,,,, Im sure all of you guys have heard the rumors,,,, there was a SYNDICATE,,,, it almost WRECKED the NBA HOTEL BOOKS,,,
this syndicate made Millions on THAT SPECIFIC STRATEGY,,,,, they went some CRAZY INSANE STAT like 50-5,,,,,, anyway,,,, there was A HUGE Back lash fromt he casinos to stop the FLEEEEEEEEECING,,,, it was impossible,,,they were looking at the time clock peoples,,,, NOT STOPPING SOON ENOUGH,,, or STOPPING TOO QUICK,,, they found that accounted for less than 30 seconds of Mistakes in the most EGRIGDOUS of Games,,,,
they found out eventually,,, they had been announcing the REFS,,,,,
So,,take it for what it is worth,,,, it was teh REFS,,, they WERENT on the take,,, these CATS knew which REFS Hated which teams,,, or Players,,,Or Liked,,,, Blah blah,,, you get the picture,, NOW that is a STAT you will FIND NOWHERE!!,,,, so think about it,,,,
if you had teh stat that a REFFING team CALMPED Down on a Dallas or SAC,,, or LET up on a DET or Houston,,, Geesh,,,,
now thats a STAT!!

good luck to all

one of the reasons that the refs are not announced sooner is so that they cannot be 'bought'.

if certain groups of individuals knew who the refs for a certain game were going to be they would obviously offer those refs money to 'influence' the game.

there have been a few "the nba is fixed" threads floating around here in the past year. one of the points I made is that while it is highly unlikey that a player can be bought for a game (their salary and the oppurtunity cost of foregone wages is too high AND it pretty much takes two players to fix a game at a high enough percentage) the refs can influence a game relatively easily and unnoticeably. especially on totals. call a game tight and call a bunch of fouls or let 'em play street ball, foul key players out on one side, etc. I think I heard somewhere that who the refs for a game and even the hotel where they will be staying is kept confidential until the last minute, and preventing a fix is the primary reason. the refs are watched pretty closely, some of them were caught scamming airline tickets.

Refs,
sometimes make no differences.
Some inside information before games such as injuries that they are not going to announce until game time.
