He did not return and will have an MRI on Tuesday.
This is a loss the reeling Nets --already missing Devin Harris (groin)-- couldn't afford. Everyone will have to pitch in, but guys like Josh Boone, Eduardo Najera and Sean Williams could pick up extra minutes if Yi misses any games.

Josh Howard - G/F - Mavericks

Josh Howard (ankle) has been participating in some recent scrimmages, though he missed Monday's workout with a sinus infection. There is no timetable for his return.
According to Mark Cuban's unofficial timetable, Howard should be back within the week. The sinus infection could set him back, but he's been making progress in his agility, strength and conditioning. Nov. 3

I'll wait until the swelling goes down, and I'll be back out there playing. We knew that was in there from the (ACL) surgery, but we didn't touch it. They didn't clean that out." Redd is right --it could have been much worse-- but this doesn't help the reeling Bucks, who will try to squeeze more production out of guys like Carlos Delfino and replacement starter Charlie Bell.

A sonogram showed a possible tear in his right hamstring and he underwent a more a more complex MRI exam on Monday. Those results should be in on Tuesday, but for now, don't even think about using Gasol this week. That should also mean that Lamar Odom will be in line for more solid games, just like the near triple-double he posted on Sunday.

Hamilton was able to do some light jogging on Monday, but has a ways to go before he's cleared to play in a game. Keep him benched for now, and expect Ben Gordon to continue piling up points as the Pistons starting SG.

Caron Butler - G/F - Wizards

Caron Butler (knee) practiced on Monday and is on pace to play in Tuesday's game against the Cavs.
"I feel a little sore now, but it looks like I'll be able to go," Butler said. "I'm just ready to play." The Wizards play four games this week, and Butler should obviously be in your active lineups. Nov. 3

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Leandro Barbosa now appears doubtful for Tuesday's game due to a wrist injury that limited him in Sunday's game.
Soreness in his right wrist has worsened recently, although the injury happened back in September. An MRI revealed a cyst, but it's too small to require surgery. "We'll see how I feel later. But in a game, I don't think I'll be able to do much," Barbosa said. "I can barely open my hand. It's tough." If you benched him after his 14-minute stint on Sunday, it may have been the right call.

Tyrus Thomas - F - Bulls

Yes, it's flu season, but there is speculation that Tyrus Thomas missing Tuesday's shootaround may point to a more serious issue between him and the team.
Two days after holding him out of the fourth quarter of a game and a day after deciding to allow him to become a free agent at season's end, it is obvious that coach Vinny Del Negro is not pleased with Thomas' attitude. Thomas missing practice with the flu does nothing to calm fantasy owners' nerves. Owners must wait and hope he can turn it around. Nov. 3

Tayshaun Prince - F - Pistons

Tayshaun Prince will sit out at least the next three games with a strained back. He will be reevaluated on Saturday.
Coach John Kuester doesn't expect Prince or Rip Hamilton (ankle) to play later this week against the Raptors and the Magic, and Jonas Jerebko is slated to start at SF. Prince had played in every game since April 13, 2003, an amazing streak of 496 consecutive games. Nov. 3

Daequan Cook - G - Heat

Heat swingman Daequan Cook won't play on Tuesday because of ongoing problems with his strained right shoulder.
Cook will also miss Wednesday's game, and said that he was "very worried" that the injury isn't getting better. He shot 1-for-9 in Miami's win at Indiana on Friday, and hasn't been on the court since. Nov. 3
