Was updating my ever-expanding NBA database until 5 am last night, late start today, what can I say?...

Orlando/Boston Under 212.5 (2 units)

Throw the trends out the window...Just read the online newspapers for Boston and Orlando today and all you see is one thing: DEFENSE...Doc Rivers promises to only play players are are playing defense the rest of the season, everyone else sits...ORL has revenge on their minds tonight for a thrashing they took at Home from BOS on NOV 29, and all they are talking about is stopping BOS on defense this time around...

Added Play:

Portland +7 (1/2 unit)

This is a Road-team dominated series the last several years...PORT maight have a shake-up tonight with their lineup as GM John Nash and Coach Mo Cheeks were teed off after last night's game...I see a motivated Trail-Blazer squad tonight...

LEANS:

Port/Philly Over -- Every trend points to the Over...PHI is 10-3 to the Over at Home this year including 7 in a row and they are 5-0 to the Over at Home after a Road game, and PORT has gone Over 5 straight Road games and 4 straight overall...

after reading your post, took the under 54.5 1st Q. Here's my thinking. They will be more focused on defense early on rather than later.

Also no fear of OT pushing the total over.

You can preach defense all you want, but actually going out and playing it when you don't have the talent is a different story. Over looking real good at the half.

yea the 213 wasnt even close to both team's average. I think it had a discrepancy of about 10-11 points; all signs pointing that this game would go under.

When the total is this much off from the range, do you think the linesmaker is setting it this high so most would go under on this play? maybe it would be a smarter move to go opposite of the obvious when it's this off. Whats your take on this?
