Only thing I could think of would be more games for more revenue.
However, it might benefit the NBA for the Heat to win and give Shaq more rest.

Yep, more games more revenue and more drama.

I think those series bring the least revenue in the NBA. It's the only series that's not close with Washington being 0-3. Shaq wont play and it's uninteresting. Thats why Miami will finish them tonight. No Mercy will be shown, once Miami takes a big lead in the second half the game will fly over and Miami will be by 16.

I just posted this in another thread, but it works here too:

Refs can't bail out guys like Arenas, Hughes, and Jamison when all they do is jack up perimeter shots. Even if the theory were true, this is not a team that can take advantage of the "NBA TV money" theory.

But they were in 2 of the 3 games when they had a chance to win the series...now, they know there is no way they can win the series. They are done. Will need some serious balls to show up tonight. I hope for you Washington backers that they have a lot of heart. I just don't see it.

IF they had extended the NJ and MEM series in the 1st round there would have been more games too, but..................

The thought of travelling to MIA for a Monday night beating would be the last thing that I would be looking forward to................unless I had a tee-off time in sunny Miami for the next day.................so who cared if the NBA wants me (a WIZ player) to play Monday night in MIA......................I'd rather party in MIA on my summer vacation.....................arty:

Then again..............I thought DET would actually resemble a Championship team last night..........and we all know how that went................

So I think I'll just hope for a high-scoring affair...................WASH is going to have to score if they even want to pretend to win / put on a last show for the home crowd................and MIA will score on this defenseless team for sure...........the lowest has been 98pts the last 2 years.........
