wake didnt have to run that play. They could have ran the clock out by taking a knee. Would have been maybe 3 seconds left, if that.

Here is what needed to happen for me to lose Navy plus 9: After blowing a 13 point lead, they go up 5 again. Then they need to miss the PAT, so they go for 2 and do just that. Then they let Wake score a TD. Then they need to Wake convert a 2 point conversion. Then they need to not score and give the ball back to Wake. All of the above happens.

Then they need to allow Wake to pick up a couple first downs and get to their 40 yard line. Now with under a minute left, they need to let Wake, who is running out the clock, to run for a 40 yard TD and not tackle them. They do that, but its not over. Because they get the ball back at Wakes 30 yard line. Then they need to put in their backup QB, miss a fg attempt, and then it would be over and they wouldnt cover the 9.

Pops is a retired Admiral - I went to all the home games, Notre Dame and Army Navy.

It is a very easy team to pull for - they are outsized and athleted against just about every FBS school they play and won 8 games. Ricky Dobbs is gonna be a hell of a lot of fun to watch next year.
