Gotta love the points here and ML play if you can find it. Texas Tech has not played well in the second half of the season, 2-4, with the only wins coming against Colorado and Baylor, teams I believe Navy is better than (definitely Baylor). I would venture to say that only two teams that TTU has beaten all year are better than Navy: New Mexico and Ole Miss. Navy comes in with an excellent rushing attack and may burn TTU's rush D just like Missouri did (again a good, not great team in a weak conference).

So this, along with Tulsa are my top bowl plays.

Yep, they are the horse I have been riding all year. Amazing that they were 1-11 for 3 years in a row and now they are 8-4. Taking them on the money line when they were +9 to Hawaii and won outright proved to me that they were an entirely different team.

Lets go Golden Hurricanes!

agree. took +13.5 and +400. i have Navy winning outright and have their pass defense ranked second on the road at 131 pass yards per game. somewhat misleading as Rice had only 8 net pass yards in that game and Navy didn't play any good passing teams. i have TT ranked 115 in road rush yards allowed and 117 in road yards per rush. Even if you consider this a home game for TT, which is questionable in my opinion, i think the spread is too high.

adding predicted score
Navy 35.6
TT 31.9

I watched the entire Army- Navy game and was glad I did because I learned that Navy will get blown out here. This team is sooo sloooww. Their running back gets lots of yards against the garbage teams that Navy plays but he can't move a foot to either side. Everything is straight ahead and their QB is one of the slowest Div 1 QB's I have seen this year and he can't throw at all. When Navy gets behind, and they will, there is no way for them to play catch up.

Navy plays hard and they won't quit but the talent gap is huge here. Texas Tech will pass all over this team. Texas Tech big.

I'm a big Navy fan...having had some family attend Annapolis, but as soon as I saw this bowl game, I knew Navy was doomed. They simply can not pass the ball on any decent team...and Texas Tech will stuff 9 men in the box and dare Candeto to throw. If Navy falls behind, there's no way they'll come back. You can't come back on a pass happy team like Texas Tech by running the ball up the middle all day long...and you know their coach isn't afraid to run up the score on teams.

I'd like to root for Navy, but my head says they can't hang. Tech wins this one BIG...

TTEch wins this going away...already got it now at TTech - 12 1/2...Navy's D has not seen an offense like TTechs and once they fall behind (and they will!) they have no way to catch up..they can't Pass!! and TTech will stop their run option game...TTech will also be healthy for this game and they have played a much tougher schedule than Navy...

There is no doubt that Texas Tech's offense is going to go off on Navy. Tech's defense is the question. The only way navy has a shot is to keep up with Tech's Offense. I don't think Navy can do that, even to cover.

Tech 58 Navy 24
