This weekend will complete the first quarter of the NASCAR competition. Dirt racing is back at Bristol and it should be an action packed race. The drivers will take a second crack on the dirt after last years wa won by the #22, Joey Logano.

This Easter Sunday Food City night race should be full of action. It will take many of the competitors back to their early roots racing on a dirt surface. In fact it will only be the second time since 1971 a NASCAR points race has taken place on a surface other than pavement.

Practice and qualifying will take place Friday. A unique qualifying process will decide the starting Field. Four het races of nine drivers each will decide the starting grid. Look for defending Cup champ Kyle Larson to be among the favorites in the race. Other top tier drivers are defending Bristol Champ Joey Logano, and other accomplished dirt track divers such as Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe, Christopher Bell and Larson's Hendrick teammate, Chase Elliott. Here are the complete odds:

2022 Food City Dirt Race odds

Kyle Larson 7-2
Christopher Bell 8-1
Martin Truex Jr. 10-1
Joey Logano 10-1
William Byron 10-1
Ryan Blaney 12-1
Chase Briscoe 12-1
Chase Elliott 12-1
Denny Hamlin 12-1
Kyle Busch 14-1
Tyler Reddick 16-1
Alex Bowman 17-1
Ross Chastain 20-1
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 22-1
Kevin Harvick 25-1
Daniel Suarez 30-1
Austin Dillon 45-1
Kurt Busch 45-1
Brad Keselowski 60-1
Bubba Wallace 75-1
Erik Jones 75-1
Austin Cindric 75-1
Justin Haley 75-1
Chris Buescher 75-1
Cole Custer 75-1
Aric Almirola 150-1
Noah Gragson 150-1
Todd Gilliland 250-1
Harrison Burton 250-1
Ty Dillon 250-1
JJ Yeley 500-1
Michael McDowell 500-1
Cody Ware 1000-1
Josh Williams 1000-1
Corey Lajoie 1000-1

It should be an action packed competitive race. By moving the race to the evening the race should be cleaner than last year. The glare from the sun will not be an issue therefore the overall visibility should provide for less cautions and easier track navigation for the drivers and their spotters. One thing is for certain, it will be a competitive race and a lot of fun for fans and viewers.

Enjoy!
