I guess that when I think of casino gambling without thinking of Nevada (for sports), all the rest in the US seem about the same.

Not the women, unfortunately. The place has a great atmosphere and besides, it's the only casino in town...

Oceans 11 in Oceanside, CA. Only a poker room, but spectacular action, great people both players and staff, and a beach about 3 minute drive away if you need a quick mental break.

I hear ya Fish - In the grand scheme, you are correct, it is nothing special as far as actual casinos go....but the fact that you can, as you point out, walk right down to Bourbon Street from the Casino made it a blast for me.

Playing some cards, making some cash and then hitting Bourbon Street made the overall experience quite a memorable one for me. Outside of Vegas, there isn't a party town like it, and when you add gamblin' into the mix...sign me up!
