He's using a rack of digital effects, including a looping pedal.

What is interesting, is that he's playing an 11-string guitar, which I've never seen before...

Where do you hear the loop? He is tuned to an open tuning of sorts which allows the open strings to drone the way they do but I'm not hearing a loop.

Me either, but I'm not a musician. I just think John Butler is extremely talented and a good dude in life.

No song in it's entirety have I found to be complete.

1) The Who - The first 1:15 of Baba O'Reily
2) Def Leppard - 2:55 to 3:47 of Don't Shoot Shotgun. R.I.P Steve Clark
3) Men At Work - "High Wire" I leave this one open ended for the rest of you to break out.

You have good taste in music. I'm like Viejo D. except that I like Heavy Metal too.

Here's one of my favorite classical piano pieces. I could listen to it every day and not get tired of it. It has nice soft delicate parts to it but in the middle it has some powerful parts too.

Debussy's Claire De Lune is a classic (in 9/8 time no less).

Your image reminded me of another classic, you may have to turn up the volume:

So so difficult to narrow it down to three. Ask me a month from now and it would be a different three. Here goes.

Spirit in the sky by Norman Greenbaum

Here comes the sun. Live version by Richie Havens

Sundown by Gordon Lightfoot. There are two sections of lyrics in Sundown that i am constantly reminded of thru-out life.

Sometimes I think it's a shame
When I get feelin' better when I'm feelin' no pain
and
Sometimes I think it's a sin
When I feel like I'm winnin' when I'm losin' again
