Just found out that I get to go to Myrtle Beach April 28 thru May 2 for four big days of golfing, and four big nights of partying (if I can handle it...). I know very little about the area other than it is supposed to be quite the party area, and obviously it is a golfing mecca. Anybody have any info or ideas of the best things to see and do there? I will be there with 19 other guys...so it will be a wide open kind of weekend to say the least.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Have a great New Year, everyone. Mine has just started looking better!

Curious..

You guys like to play the best courses possible or just whatever cheap crap they throw your way?

Either way is good depending on your motives for going.

Some guys get so sloshed at night they don't know where they are the next day anyway!

Like I said, just curious.

Packer...the guys I will be there with have done this for a few years, and they set the whole thing up. There is the usual range of golfers from scratch to nearly max in the group, but the afficionados probably make sure there are nice courses in the mix. I have asked for details, but when you live in Minnesota, any course looks pretty good in April...

It is a wide ranging group in age and interests, so I know that golf will be the focus of daytime (I will play 36 each day, most likely) and I think they go to four different courses during the four days. I think that is going to be set up. But the nights are wide open, and in the few minutes I have been searching online, there seems to be plenty to spend money on. Will probably stay in and play cards a night or two, head to a regular club for a night, and out to more male interests for a night or two. Hopefully I can win enough on the golf course and playing cards to warrant a nice time in the other outings...

We had a group that made lots of those "36 a day" trips. Have not done that in a few years now.

Sounds great! Good luck. Hope the weather is really great... not just "better than Minny in spring great"!

Have'nt been in awhile but I'll take a shot. Calibash NC for seafood is a must, very cheap & very good. Alot of different options so ask around for the best place to go. Scores sportsbar is a good place to watch a game. Sudebakers was always a good place for women but I have no idea what it's like now. If you love Italian food Valentino's is the best deal around, cheap as hell and the food is awesome. If your into knocking back cold mugs of beer and getting plastered I recommend The Bowery.

Favorite courses
The Pearl
The Witch
Arcadian Shores (Always in perfect shape)
Oyster Bay (only if your into target golf)
