My son wants to trade penny Stocks

If I give him $200 to $500 is that enough money to get started. Also where is the best place for him to find the info on these kind of stocks?
I feel I waste a lot more on one game on a satyrday afternoon and this could be a fun little hobby for him. Better than PS3 anyway. Plus if he did ok he could get his car in 2 years and if not well dad will just have to cough up the dough anyway. He is 13 and interested so WTF. Thanks in advance for the info.

Screw penny stocks-most of them fail anyhow, and chasing them really goes against "solid" stock market investing.

There are plenty of decent stocks under $10. Flip him a nickel & have him create a portfolio with say, $100 in 5 different stocks.

That should be a good start & enough to get the ball rolling.

Thanks TT I fiugured that was the case with penny stocks. I never really looked at them before. His buddy at schoolis doing them and has made some nice investments but I figured it was all luck. Kids are so much more advanced than I can remember.

Your sons 13 and your giving him 500 dollars! wow wish I was that lucky at that age, haha.

If you're going to invest I would hold off a little, the way things r going now, all your going to do is lose money in the market.

Or take the 500 and bet it on a 4 Team 13pt Teaser on some Saturday games. Invest in some college players...:missingte

My bookie is going to front him the $500 now he is up too $1000 after tonights ML hit on Louieville. He better not lose it all in the 1st month thats for sure this is a long term project. lus $500 isn't crap anymore I bought his brother a baseball bat for $350 the other day.

Your son will be making squillions instantly. All he has to do is shoot this guy a PM (see below) and he'll give your son some awesome stock tips that will see him raking in the cash.
