Seeing this Classic Empire at 3-1 ML gives me some value. Most likely go off at 2-1 or 5/2. He ran an OK derby race running an even 4th. Shows me the jockey wasn't abusing the horse late when he knew he couldn't finish higher up 1,2 or 3.
He is saving his horse for this race.

I thought Empire ran a great race considering he got squeezed and ran over at the start. He took a physical pounding in the Derby coming out with his eye swollen shut and numerous bruises. Reports said he also had the longest trip of any of the horses in the Derby having run 75 more yards than AD and 90 more than Looking At Lee. I like Empire as well but wondering if this pounding took a toll on him. Good Luck

No he had no choice but go with Always Dreaming as the #10 Conquest Mo Money was suppose to be the speed but when he didnt go out that left the 4 & 5 to set the pace and Classic Empire just ran out of gas at the end that's all.
