Seahawks enter the year with high expectations as quarterback Geno Smith was a shock to the league last season. He was impressive as the first-string quarterback, he led the Seahawks to a 9-8 record and a spot in the playoffs. Seattle fell to the 49ers in the wild card game by 18 points, but the season was a success as a whole. Smith led the team with 4,282 yards and a 69.8% completion percentage. The quarterback threw for 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as he played in all 17 regular season games played. Smith led the NFL in completion percentage and finished seventh in QBR.
Smith will have a ton of weapons to help him out on the offensive end. The Seahawks bring back running back Kenneth Walker III after his successful rookie campaign. Last year, he rushed for 1,050 yards and nine touchdowns as the team’s top running back. The wide receiver room has become fully loaded, too. DK Metcalf is coming back after 1,048 yards and 90 receptions. Tyler Lockett will also be back after eclipsing 1,000 yards receiving last season. Seattle picked up wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. He will become a force for the Seahawks this season. Seahawks by 10 points or more!!!!!! Take the Hawks lay the points ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Miami not running the ball enough is going to stall a few drives and that is where this total feels a little too high for my liking. There is two much defense with both teams in this matchup to over come the offense scoring. Expect this game to be closer to a 42-45 point total if that and take under 51 points as the better play here. That's my bet!!!!

Seahawks drafted wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the first round of the NFL Draft and running back Zach Charbonnet in the second round. Seattle will be looking for a statement win in Week 1 after ending last year on a 3-6 SU and 1-8 ATS skid.
Geno Smith finished last season with new career highs in passing yards with 4,282 and passing touchdowns with 30 while throwing only 11 interceptions. His strong 2022 campaign earned him Comeback Player of the Year honors and a new three-year, $75 million contract with the Seahawks.
Now he will have the chance to prove that last season wasn’t a fluke. The team invested heavily in him this offseason, not only with the new contract but with the addition of Jaxon Smith-Njigba as well. Assuming there is no dropoff in Smith’s play this year, Seattle should have more than enough firepower to take care of business at home against the Rams and cover spread big time. ~A dime plus the juice says I am right!!!!!~
