...Would have to go to Jeremy Trueblood, OL for the Bucs. The guy instigates a fight (not sure what words/spit were exchanged on the ground, but he looked to be the first player to get physical) after a failed third down conversion, where the Bucs were now going to have to punt giving the Bears the ball near midfield in OT. The Bucs only stood to lose 5 yards to a personal foul call (they were at their own 10), but stood to gain 15 yards and a fresh set of downs in sudden death if he drew a retaliation call, which of course he did. The Bucs capitalized by moving the down the field and kicking the chip shot field goal to win the game.

IF he started the fight with this strategy in his head -- play of the week, lol. Odds that he started the fight because of strategy? Lol, I don't know, and I'm sure he wouldn't admit to it if he did.

OL are the smartest guys on the field. My money is it was premeditated.

Chances of him having thought all that out are slim to none I think...still worked out quite nicely.

Watching that game on NFL Replay last night made me even more sick after I already had gotten over my toughest loss on the season, Chi -3. Multiple opportunities for INTs in the last 2 mins + OT, as well as that play you mentioned, and the inability to convert one single FD. Those are the breaks in this business.... that's why we love every win because at times, we lose this way and it rips your heart out...

And that pass that Rashied Davis dropped? That should've been the ball game for the Bears right there. I don't think I could handle it if I were a losing player, because the heart breaking losses are disproportionately worse than than the winning highs. Loss aversion (a word awful close to aiverson, lol) or what have you.

Cruncher: Interesting concept. I never thought of it that way. I could always count on you to come up with some new thoughts.
