Our God is a healing God, and he hears us when we call on him, when we pray to God, God will hear. Your mother will leave this earth someday, as will you and me, this place is not our final destination, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord for those who know him. I will pray for your Mother.

avivz3 - I'm sorry to hear this.

But now is the time you need to help surround her with everyone that loves her and LOOK-UP old friends she hasn't talked to for years.

Help make these last few weeks the BEST she ever had with her family and friends. Remind her of ALL the fun you had all these years. As it's ALL about LOVE my friend.

Make sure she has a good stereo in her room and play all the songs she loves.

Remember NOT to dwell on the fact she is dying, as NOW is the time to celebrate LIFE.

God bless your mom

Avivz, I'm sorry to hear bout your mom! I took care of my mom while she was very sick for the last 2 years of her life! This is a time to form a special bond with her! There isn't enough time in life to show her apreciation for everything moms do for us! But do your damnest to show it to her! I watched my dad die from cancer at 59, it sucks. I feel for you but be strong for yourself and your mom! God Bless Her!

Peace to you and your family. I went trough that already, TWICE !!! I know it is not nice at all, but U must be strong for both of you. I will have you in my prayers. Here is a nice one:

Lord,
in weakness or in strength
we bear your image.
We pray for those we love
who now live in a land of shadows,
where the light of memory is dimmed,
where the familiar lies unknown,
where the beloved become as strangers.
Hold them in your everlasting arms,
and grant to those who care
a strength to serve,
a patience to persevere,
a love to last
and a peace that passes human understanding.
Hold us in your everlasting arms,
today and for all eternity;
through our Lord. Amen.

avivz3:

My mom fought against this terrible disease for 15 years before she died at the age of 43. Thanks God she died in a peaceful way, an Aneurism made her sleep into death.

But Intuition Bet said it all. It's times like these when life becomes precious. Make sure to celebrate the joy of being alive and being loved. Remind her how much she is loved, how much she has loved and how truly thankful you're for having shared your life with such a wonderful friend.

We all die, that's the only certainty we can hold as human beings. I respect your beliefs, and have no intention to go religious on you in times like these. But pray God to give you the strength to grow mature out of something like this; after all, pain makes us grow.

God bless your mom, my prays will be with your family.

I will assume you are above bullshitting an internet forum about such a thing, and just say, life deals horrible hands sometimes.
Hope the pain your mother suffers is short and far between, and i hope your family pulls together.

The mother is the strength of every family, and to lose one prematurely is a terrible thing to have to deal with.

Thanks to this thread, i will be taking my mother to brunch in the afternoon.
I have a wonderful mother, who happens to read The Rx..lol

I will miss her dearly when she leaves....She did a great job with a bunch of misfits.

I was just thinking about my mom earlier this evening and it still brings tears to my eyes as i am typing this. I lost my mom last year and i still can't get over it. I miss her so much. She was sick for many years and i was always by her side and reminding her how much me and my sister still needed her and explaining to her why we needed her so she could understand and not feel like she was a burden to me. I was not able to do alot of things because she was always in and out of hospitals, and i was always there to assist her with her lunch and dinner, she did'nt want anyone else to assist her. One day i was not able to make it on time for lunch because lunch came a little early and when i arrived, she had made a mess of trying to eat by herself. She told me she had missed me. I felt so bad, i started crying with her and made sure i was a few minutes early or called the nurses station and told them to hold her lunch till i got there. I hate being short on cash but i have not had much luck at wagering since my mom left me but i don;t really care. Somethings money can't buy. I hope god is with anyone out there with a fiend or relative that is sick and might need a prayer. Sorry to burden you guys or girls with this, it sometimes helps to tell someone or to put it in writing. Peace!

Your mother is only shedding her genetic spacesuit. But she is an immortal and eternal soul. You have an opportunity to know that she lives forever and so do you. You have an opportunity to learn that she never leaves you as long as you provide a place for her light in your heart. You have an opportunity to thank her and after she's gone you have an opportunity to live your thanks instead of just saying the words.

I say this as I have had my share of death in my life. Earlier I did not see the opportunities and lessons it provided. I am in my 40s and have just started waking up. It takes time and it takes events. You are not losing anything as she will always live and always have a place in your heart as you in hers.
