My locals line for tonights game... ?

One of my locals, I think has been getting crushed in the nfl, and just last week started increasing juice on the nfl games...

Never seen the adjusments like this, anyone ever see anything like this in spread games? Its common in run line/puck lines where the games are a practically a pick em (ie braves ml-105, braves rl -1.5 +200... philly ml -115, Phillies rl +1.5 (-220), for example)...

currently he has...
Colts -2.5 (-115) ML +105
Jets +2.5 (-115) ML -125

the guy isn't the brightest, and when i asked him whats up wth the increased juice, he said he got crushed by the public teams...which leaves some opportunity..

to me this just doesn't add up, any insight?

Guy is enticing money on colts ml and jets +2.5 (despite the extra 5 cents). if you like the colts why pay (-115) and have to cover 2.5, when you can have them win for +105.... also if you like the jets why pay -125 to win when you can get an extra 2.5 points at ten cents cheaper...

I think there's value in taking both Colts +110 ML & Jets +2.5 -115 & going for the middle shot at very little risk.

Occasionally you can get middles like this if you have a square out & a sharp book, e.g. SIA & Pinnacle.

If jets win outright you lose nothing. If indy wins by 3 or more you lose 5%. If it lands on 1 or 2 you win 200%. You must have a very small local book. He won't be around long putting out those numbers. I hope it lands on 1 or 2 then maybe he'll realize what an idiot he is lol.

Typo on his part... Just doesn't make sense in any way...and leave a chance for 2.5 pts middle with only .05 profit

yes guy is a peabrain... I could tell first time I talked with him years back... and a history of changing rules and parlay restrictions... yada yada... ill give the middle a shot for spite (and a safe bet). thanks yall

This is base on my own experience. I used to have about 30-40 clients back in my younger day taking bets and make a ton of money.Any local books that move lines like that will likely get crushed. I was moving the lines just because i like a certain team or O/U. But end up losing almost on every line that i moved. So i learned just to left it alone and never to pick any teams but just take whatever they bets and close the book. I would take Jets +2.5 . Please post in the future if he moves any lines , especially on any keys #. Thanks for the info. my play will be on the JETS tonight. Gl

good input, it is also almost like the spread is frozen at 2.5 (-115), and the moneyline is fluctuating properly (as if the jets were -1 like they currently are, and -120 ml...)... so part of me thinks its a minor glitch or mis-step in him trying to plug the games at increased juice... I can't imagine anyone (however peabrained they may be), intentionally moved it so the odds would be like this... ill let yall know if any other shady things happen...
