Ewerton Teixeira vs Errol Zimmerman

My pick is Errol Zimmerman to win

Odds : 1.45 & - 210 & 1.40

Where : gamebookers & pinnaclesports & bodog

5.56 units to win 2.5 units & 2.1 units to win 1 units & 12.5 units to win 5 units

Teixeira never fought anybody of Zimmerman's caliber in K-1 , Ewerton is a solid karate practitioner but I don't think he got what it takes to beat Errol Zimmerman . Teixeira obvious has nice kicks coming from karate but from what I've seen he has rather limited skills with his hands . He would never have a spot in the final 8 GP but won an easy as cake tournament in Fukuoka beating 3 japanese fighters and then beat washed up Musashi in the elimination 16 tournament to get here .
Just finished watching some of Zimmerman's fights and he looks solid to me with power in his hands and can hold his own with leg kicks . What I like here is that he beat a much more experienced karate fighter Glaube Feitosa to get a spot in the final 8 and now he will face another karate fighter but with rather limited boxing skills in K-1 .

All in all I see Zimmerman bullying Teixeira whole fight and maybe getting a KO somewhere in the late 2nd or 3rd round as I've seen suspect gas tank of Teixeira against Musashi letting him down in the final stage of their fight .

More picks in few minutes .

Peter Aerts vs Badr Hari

NO BET as I missed 2.80 odds on Aerts

Peter Aerts by decision IMO

Gokhan Saki vs Ruslan Karaev

NO BET as I missed 3.30 odds on Karaev

Will root for Karaev but probably Saki will win .

Remy Bonjasky vs Jerome Le Banner

NO BET , I think clearly value on Jerome at 2.40 odds

Le Banner looks in solid shape , neither fought a lot this year , tough to predict .

Reserve Fights

Ray Sefo vs Hong Man-Choi

NO BET , no value here at all .

Sefo lost 6 in a row so probably 7th one is coming up but Hong Man last K-1 fight was a technical loss to Hari where he wasn't able to start the 4th added round .

Melvin Manhoef vs Paul Slowinski

My pick is Paul Slowinski to win

Odds : 2.25 & 2.10

Where : gamebookers & 5dimes

2 units to win 2.5 units & 2.5 units to win 2.75 units

Must take this bet even if Slowinski gets KOed in less than 30 seconds still I cant skip this one ...

So here is what we have ...

190.0cm (6" 3')106.0kg (233.7lbs.) vs 177.0cm (5" 10') 90.0kg (198.4lbs.)

a fighter who is 13 cm taller and weighs 16 kg more than his opponent .

Slowinski has 19 K-1 fights , 12 wins - 7 losses
Manhoef has 6 K-1 fights , 2 wins ( Tatsufumi Tomihira and Ruslan Karaev ) - 4 losses

Sure Manhoef is an explosive guy with KO power but Slowinski is as tough as they come when it gets to taking punishment and I don't see Manhoef winning by a flash knockout here .

Now on the other hand Slowinski is trained by the legend Ernesto Hoost himself , has solid hands and very powerfull leg kicks .

Manhoef comes out swinging here and Slowinski just has to sit back in defense a little bit and than catch Melvin Manhoef with either a knee or just work his legs keeping the distance .

Slowinski is a clear favourite for me in this fight as he has the height , reach and weight advantage and Manhoef only has 2 wins in his K-1 career . If Paul can keep the distance here after first minute storm of Manhoef he should win this without much trouble .

I'm also on Slowinski. If Manhoef doesn't come out and straight blast Slowinski, he'll gas and eventually be worn down by the bigger and more technically sound fighter.

I bet on HMC because I think Sefo is washed up and just coming in to pick up a check. Even the best K-1 fighters have trouble dealing with HMC and Sefo is far from being competitive among the top ranks, sad to say. Hopefully, training with Kin has given HMC some more kickboxing skills. The knee should be there for HMC if Sefo gets inside. I don't expect Sefo to land much since Sefo is as plodding as Choi and will be outreached by a foot.

I have Hari as the dog defeating Aerts. Hari wanted an opportunity to fight the living legend before Aerts retirement. He should come prepared and focused. Hari's got undeniable talent and this seems like one of those times where the young phenom beats the aging legend.

I think referees might be a bit biased if Aerts vs Hari goes to decision and its close , I wouldn't be surprised given what Aerts has done for and in K-1 .

If Slowinski isnt dumb he will cover up first minute and let Manhoef spend his energy from there he should keep the distance and destroy Melvin .

Sefo is washed up no doubt about it , think I really should bet on Hong Man here .
