Yeah, for under $6 a month-it's well, well worth not having to worry about.

One bad virus can lead to a machine rebuild (even if it is removed). Avoiding that pain in the ass alone justifies the expense.

Yeah, you will have to renew it each year-But I don't think it's at the full price (I want to say about 1/2)

I'm not on AOL and I DO use tons of protection (always remember that anytime you interface with another computer you're interfacing with every computer that that computer interfaced with before - sound familiar) but for a free solution your AOL antivirus should work pretty well. It should handle all virus (McAfee), firewall, spam, and parental control. Spyware?

I'm sure someone at the mighty AOL can give you a better comparison.

I'm not familiar with what AOL offers-personally, I think paying for AOL is a complete waste of money, but I know that's what a lot of people started with and change is always feared.

At the least, I would assume that the virus scan all your email.

You're not practicing safe interfacing my friend :sad3:

I guess if you don't engage in unsafe practices like hanging out in cracker sites (oh the shame) you may be OK.

Remember, always wear protection. :103631605

Personally Im using Vexira anti virus program. Originally program by a group of l33t german programmer call kaspersky lab. Provide 24hr round the clock auto-protect and 24/7 live virus update.

One of the Most coolest feature I really like about this software is.. it will NEVER allow you to execute a .exe program that is infected. NEVER! norton and pc cilin cannot prevent you from executing an infected program.. they only catch it when you do a manual scan. Vexira is different, everytime you try to execute a .exe, they will scan BEFORE allowing window to execute it.

Now that is class!
