In case anyone cares the team I think is playing the best football right now are the Indianapolis Colts who will be the #5 seed in the AFC and are on a collision course with the AFC West winner (either Denver or San Diego) The Colts will be the visiting team despite having a much the better record in the game. The 6th seed, probably Baltimore (if they can beat Jacksonville) will play the AFC East winner (Probably Miami unless the Jets can turn it around in this game in progess right now).

Moving on to round two in the AFC I predict The Colts to advance along with Baltimore (unless New England wins the AFC East), then IMO it's a toss-up between the Pats and Ravens in the Wild Card round. Assuming it is Indy and Baltimore that advance then Baltimore will visit Tennesee and Indianapolis will visit Pittsburg in the divisional round where anything can happen. However I am predicting an Indy at Tennessee AFC championship game match-up in Tenn, with Indy winning the trip to the Super Bowl.

Bottom line The Colts are as strong a #5 seed as you will ever see on any given year in the NFL.

I am not going to get into the NFC playoffs right now.

You can bump this thread when it turns out totally wrong.:ohno:

Most people actually feel this way. Indianapolis will be this years NEW YORK GIANTS!

The only difference is that we sort of expect Indy to do well in the playoffs, no one expected the Giants to do well in the playoffs

Not sure they can run the ball well enough outside three straight games. A healthy Addai is key.

Wil,

With Baltimore and Miami winning their games, I saw on TV that Indy will play the winner of DEN/SD's winner in the 1st round (hopefully SD for my boss's sake, LOL). Then, with an Indy win in the wild card round, Indy would play at Tenn (not Pitt).

In the other wild card round game, Baltimore plays at Miami. If Balt advances, they play at Pitt.

I'm not a Ravens fan (but my wife and my father-in-law are), but I see a possibility of Balt going all way to the AFC championship, especially with Big Ben having a concussion for Pitt.

Obviously, any team that starts the playoff on a hot streak, it can only be good for the team like Indy has going on. I do see them winning the first game against SD (or Den). Then it'd be a re-match of today's meaningless game, though at Tenn, instead. Anything can happen in that one as Wil mentioned.

An AFC championship game of BAL at IND/TEN would be very interesting...

Yes, it's a shame. Of course, SD have to take care of business tonight. Yea, seems like people are saying SD rather than Denver.

Thanks, VD. Been offline with computer problems then moving the main computer down to our master bedroom so I'm near the wife. She is feeling better now in 4th month pregnant with twins. How you doing, VD?

Called it beginning of the year and I hope it ends up this way as I would love to see the match-up and the media would have a field-day with it

Colts have trouble with SD.
Having said that, the feeling here is the Colts right now are the team to beat out of AFC.

Don't discount your current champs in the NFC, setting up a Manning v. Manning SB.
