Nice run Muffinman. I hope you continue as I will be on Ohio State today. I have watched a ton of Big 10 games this year and feel they could cover every game they are in. Can't do that if we don't start 1-0. Good luck tonight.

I agree. Ohio State was in (as they always are) just about every game this year. And Ok state never really impressed me. They got spanked in just about every game they played against a real team (aTm, Texas, TT). They were in the Oklahoma game, but that is a rivalry.....through that one out. They played as perfect a game that they could have, and still came up short.

The teams finished the year heading in opposite directions.

I think this stat speaks volumes. Ohio state had a lot of distractions and issues in the beginning of the year. It's the way they finished that really impressed me.
And Ok state started off strong, but once they faced the meat of their schedule, they folded.

MUFFY, I too think Ohio State is they play here in the match up of 2 OSU teams...Cowboys just fell to earth toward end of season and Buckeyes got better....also think this is a low scoring affair as OSU holds OSU to minimal points as OSU has good running "D" and OSU can't pass worth a flip....think under might also be good play here???....opinion on the Miner/Buffs game from a local Big XII guy?

Late half of season games that you refer to is not the team that started out very dismal with the QB change. Tonights QB for OSU could not get it done this year and the play calling was changed.

I am leaning towards UTEP, simply b/c a few solid cappers in here are on them, and it looks like all the squares are on Colorado. The Big 12 north was a F$*%ing joke this year, and I think we will see that tonight.

I agree that Zwick is not a good QB (neither was Krenzel and he won them a National Title), but Smith was certainly not the reason they finished the season 4-1 SU & ATS. I think the team gelled together and got back to the basics....DEFENSE.

Thought UTEP played a great game, and 9-10 times that game is played I think UTEP wins. However, they lost. And we lost. :WTF:

Easy win with Ohio State last night. My 7 stars have been quite solid.(4-1)

BC +3 10*

I love BC in this spot. They have been money in bowls the L4Y.
4-0 SU & ATS. UNC hasn't been to a bowl L2Y. This is a BIG game for BC who has not only a lot to prove to the BCS(they were so close), but also a lot to prove to the ACC. There is no better way to enter this league, than a spanking of one of their veteran teams. BC has a solid team (saw almost all their games-boston boy). They simply had a HUGE let-down against Syracuse on their final game of the year. Couldn't take the pressure I guess. They had solid road victories @ ND and @ WVU. They also were one play away from two hard faught road loses @ WF (14-17) & @ Pitt (17-20).
UNC is all offense. Their defense is ranked 109th in the country in yardage allowed. They are mediocre @best on that side of the ball. And I think last nights Ohio state game showed us that you need Defense to win bowl games. It also showed us that teams that are successful in bowl games tend to keep that success up from year-year.
I got this game early last week, and it has since come down to 1, 1.5. I do still like BC at this number. I think they win the game outright, rather easily.

This team is just too good. I have been on them all year, and I think they have something to prove here. This could be a blowout. Cal is too good on both sides of the ball, and I think they are better coached. They played their letdown game against S.Miss. They roll tonight.

Navy/N.Mex under 40 3*
What is this a NFL game. This has got to be the lowest total the last two bowl seasons. And I think this number couldn't be low enough. They are begging us to take the over. I'm not buying. These teams are ALL run. the weather is bad in SF. And NM offense is ranked 112th in ydg. They can't move the ball. But their defense makes it awfully tough on teams trying to move the ball on them (2.59ypr).

Simply like this scrappy team. They have had an excellent season playing toe-toe with some BIG BOYS:

Muff, I hate to question your plays, as you have been on fire! But BC worries me. They were set to go to BCS game and pissed it away at home vs. `Cuse, QB broke his hand (supposedly back, but how strong?). UNC playing a few miles from home, will have HUGE fan support. If you say BC still has fire in their bellies, I'll believe you, but I can see them pulling a K-State in 1998 Alamo Bowl. BC is more balanced team all around, but UNC is excited to be there. GL

I appreciate your feedback. I agree that UNC is basically playing a home game, but I believe BC's got plenty of motivation here. They certainly don't want to lose to one of the lower bracketed ACC teams, before they arrive. I think this game is almost like a placement card for BC in the ACC. If they win, and win big, I think the ACC teams will look at them in a different way than if they lose to UNC. I am also a STRONG believer in Defense, and I just can't see a team with a defense this bad hanging around in a bowl game.
And as I stated above, BC was nothing short of SOLID on the orad this year.
