Im a diehard husker but not Riley fan whatsoever. Traditionally LOVE LOVE LOVE Neb getting points at home, but this is not the same husker team as even the most recent pelini teams. with all the rumors surrounding the mental state of the players, the inability to adapt or coach the talent they do have, whether its pelini type players or not, but this is the classic case for me of being torn of taking MSU giving points to my skers at home. in short, shouldn't this line be around 13-17? not anything near one score? hmmmm...

well the fan in me likes seeing a veteran on NEB like you Alk, but they would have to play their best overall game of the year. sounds like everyone is going to play from all the injuries, besides DPE of course, and I do like the night game feel. a lot of fans have given up on the coaches, but not the players. I see the line going up though. Neb hasn't been very good ATS, losing to teams they shouldnt,
yadda, yadda, yadda, but idk I should just take MSU and if Nebraska is in it at the end with a chance to win or at least cover, ill be happy as a fan. I just hope they don't mentally give up. hope they play hard and well and just put forth a good effort. i don't mean throwing 50 times, I could go on a rant, but I wont and no one really cares, LOL, anyways, original thought was line too low...thanks for your input

No, they aren't but there are serious confidence issues. They need something good early and to ride an emotional fan base that I think will bring it. Both these coaching staffs can be stubborn. MSU sometimes stays with the run game too long and Nebraska gets away from it the first time they only gain 1 yard. That said, both offenses could probably just open it up and we could see an all out air-attack, that's the biggest weakness for both defenses. This is a big weekend for Nebraska. HUGE, HUGE recruiting weekend, so the atmosphere will be electric. Good game to watch for playoff implications, if the other contests aren't billing well. I can see a tight game for a while, but I think this one gets away late from Nebraska, basically the mental advantage resides with the spartans. Would love to be wrong on this, though. The usual betting crews pounded the under 58.5, I like the over.

This game is Riley's chance to show he is not a complete dud.....I have little faith in him however and like MSU -4.5.
