My vote is for John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco.

Alone by himself, I think Harbaugh is the most underrated coach in the league. I think he is top 5 coach. Yet most of his career, has played 2nd fiddle to his little brother. This despite John beating him head to head in the Super Bowl with an inferior team. Jim is more of a character, thus always got more attention.

Flacco is not flashy. He just gets the job done in big games when you need him. More than just a "solid" QB. He won a Super Bowl with a team that probably had no business winning one. He always comes up big in the 4th quarter.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a more underrated QB/Head Coach duo in the league.

Good pick. They do not get a lot of attention. I think a lot has to do with them being overshadowed by their defensive players

It's gonna be a hard sell for me to consider them underrated when neither has yet to win a playoff game.

Marvin Lewis 0-6 in the playoffs as a head coach.

Well that would about do it then nothing to sell :103631605

Had to reread the thread title Ravens combo certainly not on the underrated side of the ledger :toast:

I would also go with harbaugh and flacco but runner up could be:

Cam / Rivera - back-to-back playoff appearances. Going on how bad that division played last year, they can make playoffs again.

I'd throw in these two but more time is needed to make a decision:

Alex Smith / Andy Reid - turned a worst overall team into a playoff team. They did have a huge disappointment two years ago vs the colts in the playoffs. And last year, seemed liked everyone was injuried. Going forward tho - Denver may have fallen off, this year they could do damage.

Palmer / Arians - Arians is really good coach. Some think Arizona would have gone far last season if Palmer was around. They do play in the best defensive division tho. Palmer needs to stay healthy, which I don't know if he can.

Overrated/Underrated deals mostly with perception. What I perceive as a lack of respect or recognition, might be different than what you perceive.

I certainly don't think that John Harbaugh gets the recognition and respect he deserves for being one of the top coaches in the NFL.

I would also go with harbaugh and flacco as the clear #1 answer but I guess a runner up could be:

Cam / Rivera - back-to-back playoff appearances. Going on how bad that division played last year, they can make playoffs again.

Good ones. I think Reid is an interesting one. I think some people might argue that he's been overrated. I don't buy that. He never won a Super Bowl, but I think he is a damn good coach. Alex Smith? Eh.. I guess you can make a case. You can win with Alex Smith. But you aren't going to win because of him.

Arians is a damn good Coach. I think his team's have overachieved since he took over as head coach. When results out perform prognostication, thats always a sign of great coaching. Like Andy Dalton, Palmer has yet to win a playoff game in career as a QB. If he stays healthy, I think that monkey could finally get off his back this season.

Agree with all except Tomlin/ Rothlisberger

Mike Tomlin is a dumber black version of Rex Ryan. Just likes to "talk like a head football coach"... Like Dennis Green " and thats why we took the damn field"
