More than 10 players failed drug tests at the scouting combine

Happens every year but i've never understood it. 1. This is the biggest interview of your life. 2. With as much physical training that goes into preparing for the combine you should be clean in a matter of weeks no matter how heavy of smoker you are. 3. If you know you aren't going to pass then get some fake pee.

A diluted sample isn't really a fail, that's bullshit. If I was that QB I'd have a lawyer on them for defamation of character if that hurt my draft spot.

I dont think they should bother to test for weed...... but it seem pretty clear that anyone who fails one of these tests lacks the level of commitment required to succeed in the NFL.

Like a poster above said, it's not a secret that they are going to test for it. If a person cannot stay clean for a month, then they probably lack the self discipline to make it in the NFL.

It may be more of a Litmus Test.

Its illegal in some places and not others. Does that make any sense? Its decriminalized in most states and medicinally approved by nearly half. Its not a PED, rather a pain reliever. These guys go through intense physical training and some are probably battling injuries. I rather have my player smoking weed than taking pain pills. Its 2014, cmon.

It's illegal in 96% of the country. Who are you or I to decide what drugs are OK to take illegally and what drugs it's not?

If these guys are that dumb and undisciplined, then maybe they shouldn't be given this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Thats not true at all. Either way its legal in two sates and medically approved in 21 with 8 states pending legislation. 17 states have decriminalized it and more are pending. It will be 100% legal in less than 10 years. For it to even be in the same class(1) as cocaine and heroin is a crime in itself.

they drug test these kids in college but half of them are underaged drinkers. There is no testing for that but thats okay.
