I did several cruises and work ups in the Navy aboard an aircraft carrier that lasted 9 months each and the entire crew bitched and moaned the whole time. This is nothing new. We still have the finest military out there. These story tellers will destroy America.

You liberals kill me. No military in history was ever happy about be shot at. It's stupid to make an issue of it.

I agree Bush is out of control with all the new gov. handouts. The 15 BILLION to Africa will go down the drain and probably cause more aids in Africa. This prescription drug plan will be a complete failure, they say 400 BILLION, I say say not a penny less that 900 BILLION. Bush has failed to sucessfully place judges because of the gutter rats blocking his nominees.

Because we thought we could bully Iraq into doing whatever we wanted it to do with its resources. This would have been better for the U.S. because we would still be controlling Iraq's oil without having to fight this war and spend millions upon millions of dollars rebuilding the country after we destroy it.
Yes it would have been much better for us had Saddam been terrified and started doing whatever the U.S. gov't ordered him to do. He turned out to be a little too stubborn so we realized the only way we could control Iraq's oil was through the current means.

Inspections stopped - which were likely not working under Clinton anyway, and Saddam had free reign to do as he pleased. Develop and hide WMD.
Bush II went in to rid Saddam of the WMD. We are still waiting for the smoking gun but it will likely show just when all the demis have dug their own graves. Of course then the demies will all be saying "So he had them, we don't know for sure if he would have used them."
