All things considered, the Niners should still be able to win this game through a strong aerial attack and suffocating defensive performance. But I think it’s going to be ugly, and far more difficult than some may expect. The 49ers are also dealing with some injuries in key offensive positions that should slow them as well. The Vikings are 0-3 SU at home this season, but the margin of defeat has been just 4.7 points per game. They are surely thinking they should have more wins to this point and that a play here or there would have their record turned around. Tight end T.J. Hockenson is averaging 50.7 yards per game and will likely be targeted more with Jefferson out. Running back Alexander Mattison is averaging 53.3 yards per game, and recently acquired Cam Akers has not been used much.
