RECORD YTD 21-9 (.700)
SIDES 14-6 (.700)
TOTALS 7-3 (.700)

The Laker defense showed up in the 2nd half, holding Boston to 33 second half points and bringing in a winner here with the UNDER.

Golden State gets to go back home after a minitrip to Denver yesterday where they got handed a loss by the Nuggets. Warriors have enjoyed some success at home this year vs some elite Western Conference foes. In the last 2 home games they have beaten and covered against the Lakers and Sacramento. Warriors also beat and covered against San Antonio on 11/29. Point being this team is competitive at home. They are 7-3 ATS last ten at home 3-3 as the favorite but 2-1 as a favorite of 3 to 6 points. Warriors are also 5-1 ATS on backtobacks.

Coming in is a tired Boston club fresh off their worst beat of the season at the hands of their arch enemy Lakers last night. Boston is on their 4th game in 6 nights all on the road. Don't see them reaching the emotional peak they had yesterday, they will be looking forward to going home tonight after the game. Boston is 2-3 ATS on backtobacks. Boston is also 2-3 ATS as a dog of 3 to 6 points.

A hot Western conference home team vs a road tired Eastern invader.

Lots of 7s here. Let’s say Warriors win this one by 7. Reminds me of the old joke… The 7th son of 7 brothers, born on the 7th day of the 7th month on the 7th hour, decides to go to the track on the 7th month on the 7th day to celebrate his 77th birthday. He bets all his fortune on the number 7 horse in the 7th race. You all know what happened…. The horse came in 7th!!! Hehee

Occam,

Excellent call on the under last night.

I agree with you on the Warriors -4.5 tonight as well but a bigger play for me is the under of 202 for this game. What do you think ?

Gentlemen, My Intellectual property lawyers have asked me to refrain from discussing the formula until current litigation between the Copyright,Trademark and Patent goverment offices has been resolved. It appears that each of these bureaucracies would consider a coup to have the Formula registered in their domain. It's important that this issue is resolved as it would mean a substantial income stream to my estate once the formula is released to consumers.

In addition a consortium of Las Vegas and Off Shore sports books have banded together and offered me a substantial amount of money to buy the formula to keep it off the street. They fear releasing the formula to the public would be the end of sports gambling. I have already sold them a foolproof craps formula. I'm not considering selling the consortium anything at this time so don't worry.

Guys there is NO FORMULA. ONLY COMMON SENSE AND SELF DICIPLINE. Everything is revealed in my posts... well not everything, What isn't revealed is not anything any of you could not figure out with some common sense.

I said before:"The challange is from within, the opponent is yourself, the reward is private, the victory is having met the challenge" We are battling ourselves in this gambling endevour.

Don't believe everything you read and be careful out there.

I do want to address an issue that I have been researching for the last couple of years and will probably write about at lenght in the future. My trade is in both the fields of Psychology and Sociology. There is a theory in psychiatry that says, "...A gambler is not simply a rational, though "weak" individual who is willing to run the risk of failure and moral censure in order to get money the easy way, but a neurotic with an unconscious wish to lose. The Theory states that gamblers have an unconscious wish to lose and therefore always loose money in the long run.

Being a succesful gambler, I take difference with that psychoanalytic theory and propose that with the right behavioral techniques and rigid discipline, one can override ones neurotic need to lose and win in the long run. I'm just here testing my argument.

Thanks for indulging me by reading this. I sort of got carried away. The important thing is that Golden State covers tonight

Excell. I didn't look at the total at all today I went with the UNDER in the Boston/Laker game yesterday mostly based on the Lakers 3point defense. They lead the league. Boston lives and dies by the 3. I'm hoping that their poor 'outside the arc' shooting continues today. It would help us both. Tired Boston legs mean short shots. I read a detailed writeup that looked at the consequences of playing backtoback. They found that it only makes a 2 point difference in the average NBA score when you play on the backtoback. I thought it would be more. Good Luck.

Yeah right D-nice, We're all geniuses when we win, but we quickly become dumbasses when we can't pick a winner. gambling is humbling.

from NBA notes:

WARRIORS ARE UNKIND HOSTS TO EASTERN GUESTS: The Warriors are 18-3 in the last 21 home games versus Eastern Conference opponents dating back to the beginning of last season -- including 5-1 this season.

KNOCKING OFF THE BEST: The Warriors have posted consecutive victories over the L.A. Lakers (12/23) and the Sacramento Kings (12/26), knocking off both teams when they held the best record in the NBA heading into the contest...Golden State’s 107-98 victory over L.A.marked its fourth consecutive season with a home win over the Lakers...The Warriors 98-91 triumph over the Kings snapped a 15-game
losing streak against Sacramento and marked the first time in 16 tries that they held their Northern California opponent under 100 points.
EXCELL LOOK:
WARRIORS OWN MOST IMPROVED DEFENSE IN THE NBA: The Warriors are allowing 93.5 points per game (13th in NBA), after allowing a league-high 103.6 ppg last season...The team’s defensive improvement of -10.1 points allowed per game is tops in the NBA, ahead of Indiana (-8.9), Toronto (-7.8), San Antonio (-7.5) and Houston (-6.9)...Golden State held its first seven opponents under 100-points,
marking the longest such run to start a season since the 1954-55 Philadelphia Warriors held their first 16 opponents under the century mark...The streak was snapped when the Warriors allowed 100+ in back-to-back games (104 vs. L.A. Clippers and 106 at
Sacramento)...Overall this season, the Warriors have allowed over 100 points just six times.
