DRF HARNESS

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: SILVERHILL LUCKY (12th)

Spot Play: JDS CALEB MAN (10th)

Race 1

(2) SPIRIT TO WIN appears to be the colt to beat in here after winning his preliminary leg with ease and draws inside in this short field. (5) SOUTHWIND CHAMPAGNE hasn't been worse than second in three career starts and is a logical option for the exactor. He comes from the Bax barn and has excellent gate speed. (4) DRINKSONTHEHOUSE will need to mind his manners, but comes from a top trotting barn and likely will offer a higher price.
Race 2

(8) PAPER BACKED LINDY is fresh off a win in the debut on Lasix, comes from the Henriksen barn and enters this bottom class. (1) LADY DYNAMITE gets the rail and has been racing very consistently this season. He has the speed and gets Drury back in the bike. (2) WINKYS PRIDE draws inside and has a good overall record this season. She has quick gate speed and should be well spotted.

Race 3

(7) YOURE MAJESTIC has won two of four this season, comes from the O'Sullivan barn and likely will offer a low price again in this division. (4) AMOUREUSE HANOVER was a winner two back in this class, draws inside and Smith is very talented with young trotters. She's capable of a bounce-back effort. (2) LADYONE is fresh off a win, moves onto this circuit and likely will offer a price in her fifth career start.

Race 4

(4) MYSTERY GAME comes from the Alagna barn, raced well last week in her first career start and is capable of a better effort. She may offer a price and draws well again. (3) UNRELENTING enjoyed a solid trip last week, drops in class and should provide a better result. (6) HURRICAN TRINA comes from the Jones barn, drops in class and will offer a price. She's a good option for the traictor.

Race 5

(8) BEST RISQUE has been the picture of consistency this season, was a winner three back in this class and continues to offer a fair price. (9) HI MAINTENANCECHIC has won two straight and three of her last four. She moves onto this circuit and is capable of the class jump. (4) ROMANCE IN CAMELOT closed very well last week at a low price from an outside post. She gets post relief tonight and should be able to capitalize.

Race 6

(1) DANIELLE HALL likely will be the favorite when the gates unfold as she's won three of four this season. She gets the rail and comes from the Jamieson camp. (6) STUBBORN BELLE has won two straight, including a Gold division last start. She comes from the Bax barn and will offer a low price. (4) MUSLE BABY DOLL hasn't been worse than second in five career starts and is a must use for the triactor.

Race 7

(9) ARIENNE has been terrific since arriving in the Auciello barn, shows quick gate speed and appears to have the quickest speed in the field. (4) LADYLAND qualified very well two back before a sub-par effort. I'll try him in here and hope for a price. (1) ABBLEFLEXY HANOVER gets the rail, comes from the Blais barn and closed very well in her most recent.

Race 8

(2) ZEUS LIGHTNING gets major class relief, shows quick speed and offers all kinds of back class. (7) MEGO MOSS also drops in class, comes from the Auciello barn and raced in the Preferred just four starts back. (6) NORTHERN VICTORY was a winner in his most recent while using a :26 4/5 final quarter. He has a good record this season and comes from a top barn.

Race 9

(5) JUANITAS FURY has two wins from four starts this season, comes from the Bax barn and retains MacDonell in the bike. (6) BISTROBISTRO TAJ hasn't missed the board in three career starts and has a closing second in last week's Gold division. (3) MYSTICAL BRAT draws inside, comes from the Alagna barn and is fresh off a win.

Race 10

(10) JDS CALEB MAN drops in class and will need to overcome the outside. He has a patented late kick and if he's properly positioned turning for home, he's a top threat. (7) BUDDYS HOPE jumped in class last week following the claim and won in first-over fashion. He's at the same level and will look to repeat. (3) RAVE ON draws inside and has hit the board in three of his last four.

Race 11

(1) UPFRONTLUCKYCAROL draws the rail and Beelby's barn has been excellent this season. This mare drops in class and is overdue for a win. (4) R RAISED EMOTIONS has won two straight since entering the Baillargeon barn and will get a lot of attention in here. (10) DUKESTER is fresh off a win and will need to overcome the outside. He may offer a price and enjoyed racing off a helmet.

Race 12

(5) SILVERHILL LUCKY has won three straight, enters the Moore barn and will offer a low price. (4) HARBOR PLACE draws inside, drops in class and shows the speed required. (9) EASTENDER has hit the board in three of four starts this season and comes from the McNair barn.

Race 8 -$10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: LIGHTNINGINTHESKY (2nd)

Spot Play: MACH OF BALLYKEEL (10th)

Race 1

(2) TEXAS RIDGE should be in an ideal spot heading home. (1) IM LOADED has the rail and will get a good trip. (5) TWILIGHT METEOR gamed out a win with a perfect trip in last.

Race 2

(5) LIGHTINGINTHESKY was well bet and well meant in last, but was nailed on the wire. He is the only one that has smelled a win in a long time and cannot be looked past. (4) MIZUNO flashed some late speed in last few and will be close at the end. (2) RIDGE PARK has an inside post after a bad run of post positions since early June.

Race 3

(3) SEPTEMBER HALL went well here in July and looks like the one to beat. (7) NORDIC VENTURE faltered last time out over the sloppy track. (1) BEAUTY CHIP has the rail and some modest late form.

Race 4

(5) BEANS AND WEENIES finished strong in latest and should be able to notch a win as he faces weaker. (1) CASHEM IN was a beaten favorite last time out when getting parked to the half before tiring. (3) BEACH CRISIS moves in and should improve with the post.

Race 5

(5) ANNIES ROCKETMAN has speed and a winning attitude. Beaten favorite hopes to atone tonight. (1) ELIANS VALENTINE has the rail and works out a good trip. (2) PINE TAB rallied to the wire in the last but missed a head. Has yet to win this year and is running out of excuses.

Race 6

(1) STEVIE RAYS DREAM loved his music and like this one's chance from the rail as he comes in from Pocono. (3) JOLTIN DUEL ships in and has been facing better. (9) MODERN WARFARE has to clear early traffic to perform his best maneuvers, but romped in a couple of winning efforts before faltering in last from a bad post.

Race 7

(1) ALLAMERICAN PEWTER has the rail and breathes a deep sigh of relief after bad trips in most recent outings. (3) KINETIC YANKEE had some late foot last week and seems sharp enough now to argue late. (4) THE CLASSIC Z TAM has been all over the money in recent with two wins in last six outs.

Race 8

(1) ALIGNED HANOVER was never in it last week leaving from the outside over the sloppy track. Will be better this time and the rail might be enough to get the trip. (2) ACTION METRO MAX has been trying hard in most races over the last two months. (5) STEVIE DIAMONDS worked out the trip in last but came up short. Is he tighter this evening.

Race 9

(4) ZORGWIJK HEAVENLY set a new life mark winning this level two back. (9) EASTER TEKA has been battling in her last few while racing out of town and will argue the outcome if she clears traffic from the second tier. (3) EASY STRENGTH faced weaker in last and romped. Can she hold the form despite moving back up this week?

Race 10

(3) MACH OF BALLYKEEL has flashed a strong closing kick a few times racing in Canada and looms as a major stretch threat. (2) ST PETE STAR has also rallied late in a few races and can snatch the win if it works out the right way. (1) BIGRISK has speed and the rail but steps up after a winning effort.

Race 11

(9) GEM HEIST is still winning and cannot be picked against until he loses. First rule: winners win. (7) CRAIG MICHAEL was on the move too late in last and had too far to come. (3) GET GOIN MEL was a game second in last out of town.

Race 12

(2) LOCK THREE fits very well this level. (3) BUBBA SKINNNER finished well in last to nail second. (1) BIG HARRY DEAL was salivating at the post position draw as he drew the rail.

Race 13

(6) CULLENS BLUE JEAN had some traffic problems when last here. Ships back, faces weaker and gets the call. (8) OUR MCLOVIN rallied wide too long in last but was game enough for second in the photo. Has to overcome the post but should be moving late. (3) TIDEWATER TOMCAT takes modest drop back down the ladder.

Race 14

(1) WOW POWER was beaten by the track in last and the pocket sitter. Will have to beat both tonight but should have no excuse. (2) DUCK HOOK was the pocket horse who took advantage of the trip to best the top one last week and looms as the main threat once more. (4) FOLLOW THROUGH can get lucky with an off-the-pace effort if top two duel it out.

Race 15

(1) JUDE HALL goes much better from the inside and should welcome the post even more off last week's parked out effort. (2) FRANCO NATURA N had things go his way in last and is the one to fear, but is facing better. (5) DIAMONDS REVIEW has late speed often enough but wins have escaped this vet in '14.

DRF HARNESS

MEET STATS: 246 - 708 / $1266.50 BEST BETS: 43 - 58 / $136.90

Best Bet: GEORGETOWN N (3rd)

Spot Play: POINTE OF HONOUR (7th)

Race 1

(2) DREAM BALL has been solid in her two starts since Bartlett took over the driving; filly should work out a perfect trip from this spot. (1) SHERKIN HANOVER was overmatched last out at Pocono; prior form is solid. (5) H ANDNHARLEYTHEJET raced pretty well in her local debut and had no chance from the outside post last week.

Race 2

(1) CUDA SIXTY SIX ships from Canada and joins the sharp Andrew Harris barn; big threat from this spot if he minds his manners. (7) COUNTRYGIRL AS is another Annette Lorentzon shipper from the the Midwest and we all saw how The Way I Am performed; filly deserves serious respect. (2) QUIKWIT finally put it all together last out at Pocono.

Race 3

(1) GEORGETOWN N has been razor-sharp for Garcia-Herrera and he is tough to overlook from this spot. (3) MILITARY STRATCOM hasn't fired at all this year but he's got speed and back class to call upon. (7) MACHAPELO is another with back class and Brennan drives tonight after a failed speed effort last out.

Race 4

(3) IT WAS FASCINATION was a solid winner locally three back and she may be able to get the jump on likely favorite (2) MAJOR DANCER. The latter has serious ability when her mind is in the game. (1) JUST ADD VODKA has been a steady earner all season long and she should be primed for a share from this spot.

Race 5

(4) MEDUSA has solid early speed and Tetrick will have her pointed to the front; filly can go coast to coast. (2) SUPLEMENTAL INCOME had no chance in the EBC Final at Tioga; this is clearly a better spot. (3) SKY ARTIST has been good in her last two and she will never be too far back.

Race 6

(3) BIG PAYOUT drops to a much more reasonable level tonight and he's clearly capable of getting the job done. (5) WINWOOD SCOUT returns locally and he's done well here in the past; Tetrick drives. (1) GO JESSE GO finally gets some post relief.

Race 7

(5) POINTE OF HONOUR actually gets to drops in class tonight off a solid effort in defeat; veteran deserves to be played tonight. (1) EX KING has shown a touch of improvement in his last two. (3) DO IT FOR ANNIE hails from live connections but she could have been better last week.

Race 8

(1) SHESAIDHESAIDISAID returns locally off a good effort in defeat down at Philly and Brennan can trip out from this spot. (6) HAPPILY EVER AFTER has been a fringe player in stakes action; this is obviously an easier spot. (4) JANINNE has been solid recently but note the barn change tonight; not sure if that's good or bad.

Race 9

(7) DELIGHTFUL DRAGON was used hard and gave way in the EBC final last week; filly has a load of ability and she can be a nice price from this tough spot. (2) BLUSH HANOVER has done little wrong in her brief career for Toscano. (3) SPREESTER has good, consistent speed.

Race 10

(1) PAM'S LEGACY is clearly in career form and he meets much of the same rivals he beat easily last week; repeats. (2) DIAMOND SAID bumps up off an easy score and he can sit pocket from start to finish. (3) CONNERY BLUE CHIP closed with plenty last out which was first off the claim.

Race 11

(6) SOMETHING FOR DOC has proven to be totally camera-shy but I just can't pass him up at this level. (5) KEEMOSABE has big speed but is kind of hit-or-miss. (4) UNCLE SMOOTHIE has missed a month off a sick scratch; proceed with caution.

Race 12

(2) DIRT DIAMOND arrives from Indiana with a pretty weak resume but she qualified nicely first-time in the Julie Miller barn and she is worth a look here. (5) CAROBBEAN PACETRY was super in her last two local appearances and Dube is back driving. (3) GET YOUR ARMOR gets post relief in her second local start.

KEY STAT: Chelsea conceded only 16 goals in 19 Premier League away games last season

EXPERT VERDICT: Burnley are are likely to suffer an opening-game defeat against Chelsea, whose manager Jose Mourinho said ”we’ve got exactly what we need” after signing Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis. Mourinho’s sides are always strong defensively and now that he seems to have sorted out his attack – their Achilles heel last season – expect the Blues to cruise to a routine victory.

RECOMMENDATION: Chelsea 2-0

KEY STAT: Rangers won all four 2012-13 meetings with an aggregate score of 11-1

EXPERT VERDICT: Rangers needed extra-time to beat Hibs in the last round of the Challenge Cup, lost their Championship opener to Hearts and scored two late goals at Falkirk on Friday but they should still have too much for the Bully Wee. Clyde have scored in all three games this term and can notch again, although it is likely to be in defeat.

RECOMMENDATION: Rangers 2-1

KEY STAT: Arsenal have won all 12 of their Champions League qualifying/playoff matches in the last decade

EXPERT VERDICT: The draw looks the value in Istanbul. Arsenal are better than the Feyenoord outfit beaten by Besiktas in both legs of the last round and have a great record in the early stages of this competition. However, the Olympic Stadium is always an intimidating venue and the Gunners struggled for fluency against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

KEY STAT: Napoli have won their last four home matches

EXPERT VERDICT: Ander Herrera may not have made the difference for Manchester United on Saturday but could be missed by Athletic Bilbao, who face a tough Champions League playoff round, first leg clash away to Napoli. Athletic are the weakest of the four Spanish qualifiers and may struggle against free-scoring Napoli who were third in Serie A last term.

KEY STAT: Atletico Madrid have lost four Super Cups since they last won it in 1985

EXPERT VERDICT: Atletico Madrid’s squad has a different look to it this season, and it may be worth siding with the more settled Real Madrid for the Super Cup. Carlo Ancelotti’s men were impressive against Seville last week, and could carry a psychological edge over their rivals with the Champions League final fresh in the memory.

KEY STAT: Maribor have only lost twice at home in their last ten Champions League qualifiers

EXPERT VERDICT: Maribor have seen off Zrinjski and Maccabi Tel Aviv to progress to this stage, and Celtic look too short to beat them in Slovenia. The Bhoys were hammered by the disqualified Legia Warsaw and have a poor record away from home in Europe, but a draw should be within their reach.

The Walker Group Picks

# 6 VICKY TICKY TAVIE 8/1

# 9 HEATED EXCHANGE 10/1

# 7 SENSE OF REALITY 8/1

VICKY TICKY TAVIE has a quite good shot to take this contest especially at such a decent 8/1. Shows signs of the look of a money-making play, averaging a solid 83 speed rating which is one of the most respectable in this group. As of late Smith has provided players with a competitive winning percentage with horses travelling in turf sprint races. Is a key contender - given the 85 speed rating from her most recent race. HEATED EXCHANGE - Overall, has one of the best earnings per start in turf sprint events in this lot. SENSE OF REALITY - Seems to have a respectable class edge based on the latest company kept. Sound average speed figures in turf sprint races make this animal a contender.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

The Walker Group Picks

# 4 STORM OVER SKYE 4/1

# 2 STERLING REMARK 3/1

# 5 CASTRATI 8/1

STORM OVER SKYE is the top bet in this race. Balgobin will probably be able to get this gelding to break out sharply in this competition. Shows signs of the look of a profitable play, averaging a solid 57 speed fig which is one of the top in this group of horses. Has a sharp record at the distance and surface, which makes me have to consider this gelding. STERLING REMARK - The average Equibase class figure of 53 makes this one tough to beat. Players using horses with this jock and handler combo have done well as of late. CASTRATI - Always good to invest in a handler with this kind of decent win percentage - 17 percent - at this distance & surface. Is a definite contender - given the 62 speed figure from his most recent race.

#7 COQUINA (ML=6/1)
#9 JOHN'S CROSS (ML=6/1)

COQUINA - Lynch sends this one to the post for the first time. With a win pct of 35 with first timers, I'll give this one a long look. You always have to be on the patrol for money making rider/trainer teams; we have one right here. Going on Lasix for the first time. While a typical handicapping angle, it's still quite important to factor in. JOHN'S CROSS - You have to really like that last race speed fig, 76, which is the best most recent race speed rating of this bunch.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 SMOKINDOWNTHEAISLE (ML=3/1), #6 MEDALLICIOUS (ML=7/2), #5 WISE SON (ML=4/1),

SMOKINDOWNTHEAISLE - I'm foreseeing a less than stellar go of it out of him this time. MEDALLICIOUS - This less than sharp equine hasn't been near the winner at the finish lately. WISE SON - This less than sharp equine ran a most unsatisfactory rating in the last race. He shouldn't run better and will likely suffer defeat in today's race running that fig.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - JOHN'S CROSS - This gelding should be flying down the stretch. I'm betting this thoroughbred gets up in time.

#7 MASTER OF ALL (ML=8/1)
#8 MR CIOLKO (ML=3/1)

MASTER OF ALL - Have to give this gelding a fair chance. Ran a good race last time out within the last 30 days. Trainer, Downing, has been deliberate with this gelding off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. MR CIOLKO - Taking a class drop in class rating points from his July 19th race at Saratoga. Based on that key piece of info, I will give this horse the advantage. The rider/handler tandem of Chirinos and McCooey has a strong return on investment together. When I handicap a race on the turf, I think sometimes class ratings are more important than speed figs. This magnificent animal has the highest average class in the entire field.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 SWEETJIMINYCRICKET (ML=2/1), #1 URAGANO (ML=6/1),

SWEETJIMINYCRICKET - You should normally gamble against chalks that haven't raced or show no activity in the morning over the last few weeks. In any race of 7 1/2 furlongs, I like to back a contender that has been sharp in sprint events lately. Will be hard for this horse to beat this field off of that last speed rating. Not probable to improve enough to run a figure close to today's Equibase class figure, so put him on the likely underlays list. URAGANO - Hasn't hit the board in any sprint contests recently. Unlikely to see him doing it in today's event either.

RACE #9 - SARATOGA RACE COURSE - 5:18 PM EASTERN POST

The Summer Colony Stakes

9.0 FURLONGS DIRT FILLIES AND MARES FOUR YEARS OLD AND UPWARD STAKES $100,000.00 PURSE

#1 ENDLESS CHATTER
#2 ZUCCHINI FLOWER
#5 NATALIE VICTORIA
#3 MADE UP

Here in the fist running of this stakes test, #1 ENDLESS CHATTER has hit the board in each of her last five outings, including wins in her last two starts, with her last "Circle Trip," 43 days ago at Parx Racing in Pennsylvania also qualifying as a "POWER RUN WIN." Jockey Joel Rosario and Trainer Chad Brown send her to the post for the "Monday Feature" ... they've "whacked the tote board" with 54% of their entries saddled as a team to date, winning at a very respectable, 21% clip. #2 ZUCCHINI FLOWER is the overall speed leader in this stakes field racing at, or about, this afternoon's distance of 9.0 furlongs on the dirt, and has hit the board in three of her last five "adventures," including a "POWER RUN WIN" in her 5th race back.

# 6 SHADOW NEWTON 2/1

# 4 FORREST ORACLE 12/1

# 10 JANSEN HANOVER N/A

If you want a nice play today, feast your eyes on SHADOW NEWTON. Feel the need for speed, this contender has been turning in some excellent speed ratings averaging around 67. The consortium gives this race horse a really good chance to win this one, class ratings are tops in the field. That 64 speed figure clocked in the most recent race puts this nice horse in the mix for this one. FORREST ORACLE - Can't forget based on TrackMaster Speed Ratings which have been outstanding (71 avg) recently. Been squaring off with some tougher customers of late, has a distinct class edge. (Average Rating 67). JANSEN HANOVER - Taff has a standardbred going up in class for this one. Looks like the winning move. Positive instinct - battling well enough to contend in this race.

CONSORTIUM CHOICES

# 1 GEORGETOWN N 8/5

# 3 MILITARY STRATCOM 3/1

# 5 CORKY BARAN 8/1

Really keen on the probability of GEORGETOWN N taking down the winner's share in this contest. Doing work sharply, achieved a formidable TrackMaster speed fig in his last affair (86). Post 1 has been winning at an above average stat, suggesting really good probability of success in this race. The driver/horse combination percentages point out that this duet are solid in the money finishers when working their magic together. MILITARY STRATCOM - This nice horse has been making trips to the winner's circle on a regular basis, look for him to make another trip soon. Has the makings of a profitable play, averaging a rather good 89 speed rating. CORKY BARAN - Has respectable TrackMaster Speed Ratings and very likely has to be thought of for a wager in this one. Could very likely dominate this group of animals given the 85 speed fig earned in his last gathering.
