Question on your full card at Philly that you give often.
how do you suggest a handicapper attacks the card with
these picks? I fully understand your other posts with TOP PLAYS
LONGSHOT PLAY's etc.
Im just looking as to how to use these 4 horses to get some winners (yours are in order of finsih unlike PIG Jockey's 4 horse picks correct?)
is the 4th place horse you list worth looking at or is it a throw away being 4th? is the Top horse worthy of a WIN bet and and KEY in the Pick 3's and Tris if the odds looks good.
And how do you go about finding excatly 4 horses in each and every Philly race? Seems like some races you would only find 1 or 2 that merit consideration, others 6 or 7, others a complete pass. But every race has exactly 4 horses, is this a program or a system of some type?
thanks!
I'm not sure why I list 4 horses every race, just habit I guess... I used to post a ton at another horse racing site where it was almost all about picks and their contests were 4 horses per race.
My picks are in order of preference... 1-2-3-4 as in what order I think they will come out. Generally I like to play the doubles with my top two choices in each leg (having the 3rd and 4th choices as alternates)... Pick 3's can be a little tricky since I may want to key a race and go longer in another, but if you used the top two choices in each leg that would be much cheaper than attempting three per leg. Otherwise I may suggest playing exactas like 1-2,3,4 and 2,3,4-1 or 1,2-1,2,3,4. I generally find I don't crush trifectas all that often so I usually steer clear of those. Obviously if any of the Philly picks show up in my 'Top Plays' you may want to key those. I generally back up most of my bets with W, WP, or WPS (depending on the odds).
System or program? I did develop a system which I had turned into software which uses the .50 cent TSN data files... it has been profitable, but I haven't used it in months, mostly since I am using more angles lately and haven't had the time to run the software. I do occasionally (when I have the time) run some figures I developed (pace, speed, power, etc) on the races, but that is entirely too time consuming to do regularly.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, fire away!
