yes, he also had a terrible O-line in zona, and no real weapons on offense, their RB's all hurt (James Conner) and some bad coaching. He majored in aerospace engineering and finished college with a 4.0 grade point average, which tells you how brilliant the kid is, he can pick up offenses quick. Made all the difference in today's game as he won/carried the Vikes on only a couple days of practice (as a backup with the #2 &3 guys---and much less reps!).
I highly doubt Winston would have had that level of sucess today, esp after watching both even when Dobbs was in 'Zona he could make things happen when needed but didn't have a good supporting cast...
he actually had ZERO practice reps with any teammmates before flying down with MN. That is just nuts and shows you how inept ATL's coaching staff is/was
kicking that 20 yard FG on the 1 was so dumb given Viks would have to take over there and either having a QB in his first ever start (on road) or Dobbs w/o any practice snaps
