Off to their best beginning since the 1950’s, the Lions haven’t tasted defeat since early December 2010. With the NFL’s current longest regular season winning streak, and a pair of improbable come-from-behind wins, the last two weeks, the Lions are primed to show America tonight on MNF that they are for real. Detroit enters this week’s play tied for second in scoring (33.8 ppg) and have supplied a lethal air attack led by a healthy Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson. While the Chicago Bears march in allowing the second-most total yards per game (425.8 ypg), don’t over look the fact that Jay Cutler has owned the Lions in the past (4 times he has an QB rating of 100 or better vs. Detroit) and offensive coordinator Mike Martz will incorporate Matt Forte, who comes off a great week 4 (25 rushes for 205 yards with a touchdown and four caught passes for 23 yards against the Panthers).

Detroit will be grinning with confidence coming into tonight’s showdown, but don’t count out the Bears, who ride the historic legs of Devin Hester and a D that is ready to show past year’s dominance in front of a national audience.
