2023 MistaFlava Football Record: 0-0 ATS (+0.00 Units)
Welcome back for another season of making money and although I have not really touched any of my systems yet I will be keeping a close eye on a bunch of stuff Week 1. Nice to see some familiar faces. Please feel free to chime in with opinions and with anything else and would love to chat.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THIS SEASON!

Kansas City Chiefs -4 (10 Units)
So much talk about Kansas City TE Travis Kelce and his status for this game, hence my late post and why I waited until the very last second. I was sure he wasn't playing and wanted the best possible line and got it. The Detroit Lions come in with a ton of hype this season after being one of the better ATS betting teams at the end of the 2022 NFL Season. I want to point some things out however. First of all Detroit has a ton of new players and they are all going to have to get used to playing with each other. That's not easy, let alone against the defending Super Bowl Champions in an outdoor setting. Why do I mention outdoors? For starters Detroit QB Jared Goff is 31-33-2 ATS in his last 66 games played outdoors. He is an incredible 26-13 ATS (16-5 ATS with Detroit) when playing indoors. Big difference.
The Kansas City Chiefs are missing Kelce but anytime you have a guy named Mahomes and you have a plethora of random weapons most people have never heard about, it still usually ends well. Mahomes is 4-1 ATS in career Season Openers in the NFL and Andy Reid has an incredible record in the opening week of the season. I think the key for Kansas City tonight is going to be their running game and how they have a way with keeping the ball and how they have a way with finishing drives. Again no Kelce but I don't think it will be a problem at all. Just way too many weapons on this team even if none of the big name category.
The defending Super Bowl Champions are 14-8-1 ATS in in Week 1 of the following season since the 2000 season and Andy Reid himself is 7-3 ATS in his last 10 Week 1 Games as a Head Coach. One thing I failed to mention is the D'Andre Swift effect. Detroit replaced him with some talent but they were 0-3 ATS when he didn't play last season and 12-2 ATS when he did play. RB Jahmyr Gibbs and RB David Montgomery take over but they are not Swift and it might take some time. Chiefs for me.
Trend of the Game: Detroit was 0-3 ATS last season without D'Andre Swift and 12-2 ATS when he was in the lineup.
Kansas City 30, Detroit 17
