Missed FG's!

I for one cannot believe VA Tech FG kicker missed two FG and badly. With all of Coach Beamers emphasis on special teams. His website Beamerball.com or something like that gets over a million hits a year or close to it.

What is going on. Did I miss something with the Kicking game. TCU's All American kicker not kicking the possible game tieing FG was a shock to me. I only found out later that he hurt himself of the other kick. Does anyone know whats wrong. The ESPN commentators are funny , but right, that FG kickers should not have any tatoo's . I have to agree it just doesn't look right on them. I wonder if he put it on to scare off those who wants to mess with him when he misses. Or if he put it on to get laid , as we all know kickers get no respect. This display and his tatoo is just making it worst for all FG kickers all over. We already strung up our kicker for Hawaii for missing the FG that would of ended it and at least give some of us a push.

I hope Va tech FG kicker is out there practicing right now, as this game looks like it could come down to a FG.

Fvck, he missed it again. Dam, they only have one thing to do. Shit this mutha might cost me the game. They should outlaw FG's . Just let the game be played by the real players. Dam it! That is 9 pts we could of have added to the score.

wow, how many times I benefitted from Beamer special teams play. Very hard to believe this could happen. I guess the balance of it all is just showing itself.

Thankyou Beamer! For that TD on the punt return, and Thankyou D'Angelo for backing up what I said you will do to show your worth to the NFL. Wow , a game full of things we thought we would never see. 3 out of bounds k.o.'s out of bounds by VaTech. 3 missed fG's by VaTech, VaTech's passing for a shit load of yards and for TD's. WoW!

3 missed fg's cost us the game. Very tough loss, two nights in a row. I lose because of a FG kicker , just incredible. Never thought at all it would be VATechs special teams that cost the game. Well , that's football. Gotta love it, even with the pain.

No disrepsect intended Co captain, as i really respect your plays, but....it wasn't the kicker who cost you the game. It was the offense of V tech not getting the 1st downs that cost it. Or cal defense that stopped them on 3rd..and so on..anyway..gl tomorrow

I've made alot of cash playing on V. Tech in the past, and have lost a few they had no business losing. The last couple of seasons the special teams and defense isn't anywhere near what they were a few years ago.

I can't quite put a finger on what direction the Hokies are headed. I've liked what Beamer has acheived in the past, but not now..They are too inconsistant for me .. Is this a coaching problem?

Ripper I agree with you. I also liked what Coach Beamer has achieved in the past. Maybe he is still living in the past. The Michael Vick past. But he will surely have to do some things differently next year, as his star RB Jones will be gone. Also on Def DB D'Angelo Hall will probably leave to enter the draft. I think he will. He showcased his many talents today. What shocked me was this all of a sudden passing game. almost 400 yards passing. At least that is a good sign for next year, as both QB's will return and Vick will only be a Sophmore.

The Hoakies were very good 4 years ago and
seem to be getting respect from that era.
They have collapsed in their final 4-5 games
three years running. Beamer has created the
illusion of an elite program through creative
scheduling front loading with lesser teams.
Next year he's backed out of an agreement to play at LSU early but to his credit has signed
on to play So Cal at Fed Ex Field. He will also
enter ACC play, Though not strong the ACC is improving and you need to be prepared each week.
If they don't change their direction they are in
trouble.

That offense we saw last night of pass and run will definately have to used , no more depending on the RB's to control and win the game anymore. Plus, looks like his punt blocking schemes has been figured out .

VT is the Miami Dolphins of the NCAA. Renown for their 2nd half swoon. Maybe it is their conditioning program. Beamer has them work very hard in the weight room in the summer...they start out stronger than everyone else but by midseason that translates into more fatigue and injury.
