Minny has lost 9 of 10 to Purdue, and the one Minny won was 3 years ago, trailing the whole game and pulling out an OT win on 4th and 15.Guess we're on the same page..
I didn't know who I liked at first glance. But upon further evaluation, I'm going to bet Purdue. Small right now, but might get larger as the week goes on. Fuck this shit.
Gophers may be overvalued but they will stop the run (against Purdue) and get pressure on the QB. I could see fading them against an average team but Purdue looks worse than Wisconsin right now. This is a good spot with Minny coming off a bye week but I have no faith in the Boilers. I'm going to be looking at this a little closer tomorrow...
I think many have not watched Minny play this year. I am not trying to imply they are world beaters, but they beat Illinois and while Illini will tell you it was because of turnovers, Illinois failed to punch it in from the 1 yard line on 2 straight plays.
Also, it wasn't like Illinois was dropping the ball because of the air, Minny was causing the turnovers.
To compare the OSU/Purdue and OSU/Minny game is a mistake.
Minnesota will win this game because Purdue can't stop anybody. Minnesota will be able to stop Purdue just enough to win the game. I see this being one the higher scoring big 10 games of the season

BTD I tend to agree with you here. The Gophers have a QB that completes 70% of his passes, the O-line that was supposed to be garbage isn't and gets better every game, their d-line gave Juice Williams fits all day and caused a key turnover on one sack that went for a TD and their secondary has legit speed.
VS. Illinois they held them to FG's in the 1st half and stopped them on a 1st and goal from the 2 yd line. Granted the Illini ran the exact same goal line plays as they did the week prior against Mich. but this team can easily go into W. Lafeyette and get a win.
