:WTF: I bet a two team 7 point teaser at Millennium. I placed a bet on one side and it won, the other side I left open. Yesterday I called to fill the open spot with the Colts and they informed me that the teaser had been cancelled because I had not filled in the open spot within 7 days. They never told me I only had 7 days to fill it in. On the readback they said the team I was playing and "one open spot." I would like to think if you only have 7 days to fill it in that it would of been told to me on the readback. I can't believe they won't put it back in my account. I spoke to Richard - the claims mgr - and he said this was their policy and there was nothing he could do for me.

I hope no one else runs into this problem with Millennium, so I am letting everyone know, since they won't tell you this until after the fact.

Are open teasers done by call in bets only? I don't see that option on the internet.

Mr teaser - I only play on the phone with them. Not sure if they allow it on the net or not.

Worldrunner - Millennium is the only book I know that offers open teasers.

Falco -I think not. I was going to put the Colts on the open spot yesterday = winner.

iS IT LISTED IN THEIR RULES ANYWHERE?

DOESNT SEEM QUITE FAIR.....

WAS IT A LARGE WAGER?

I CAN UNDERSTAND THEM NOT WANTING OPEN PARLAYS HANGING IN THE BOOKS FOREVER, BUT STILL, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN WARNED..

AND IT SHOULD BE WRITTEN SOMEWHERE ON THE SITE..

Welcome stirfry.

If this is their policy and they are consistent, then Not much to complain about IMO. I think I would have asked the question instead of expecting to be told. You have to assure your own back is safe. Do not await someone else to cover your back. Sorry that it happened, but then again I wonder if the Colts would have lost, would you have posted praise that they helped you.

Good luck

That is an old credit shop rule - open teasers had to be closed during the same pay week they were opened on. In other words if your week started on Monday all open teasers started that week had to be closed by the start of the last game the following Sunday night.

What all books have the option to place open teasers? (Or parlays?)

here is ABCisland policy:

OPEN TEASERS AND PARLAYS
(ABC ISLANDS & LOOSELINES ONLY)

If you want to make a teaser or parlay wager but can't make up your mind on all of your selections, Loose lines and ABC Islands offer open bets of up to 1 open team on standard parlays and teasers. This means you have up to six additional days to makeup your mind.

  • On a 2 or 3 team parlay or teaser one open spot is allowed.
  • Open spots are not allowed on parlays or teasers of 4 or more teams.
  • Open spots are not allowed on Monster or Sweetheart teasers.
  • Any open teasers and parlays that are not filled (closed) in six days from the date of the wager will be considered no action and the dollar amount of your risk on that particular wager will be returned to your account balance.
  • You may only leave a maximum of 1 open slot per wager in an open bet, but you may place as many open wagers as you like on any event we offer at that specific time.
  • The LIMIT of OPEN wagers on any specific team CANNOT exceed $3000. Ungraded OPEN wagers that exceed this amount will be cancelled. It is the player's responsibility to keep track of the amount of money wagered any specific team. This can be done by checking the pending wager report in the wagering software

"Falco -I think not. I was going to put the Colts on the open spot yesterday = winner."

Stirfry. You won the first side of your teaser, you didnt state if you needed the extra points. I'm pretty sure you didnt, your bet won without the extra points.Indy also won without the extra points, 2 winners and you'd only collect once.

WW-winner
WL-loser pay juice
LL-loser
WT-loser.

Simple math for teasers 4 outcomes and on only one you win money and not true odds money at that, even money only! That is why booking is good business. 3 to 1 that you are going to make money if you are the bookie and 3 to 1 against your teaser coming in. :WTF: <!-- / message -->

Bucs it was 1000 and I don't know if it's in their rules, I never visited their website. I placed all my bets on the phone and opened the account on the phone.

General, Wilhelm - I have no problem with the rule, just the communication of the rule. When it says "open" to me that means when I want to fill it.

Falco - Then why and the heck did ABC up their juice and lower their limits to 500.

Apparently thats what the rule is. Millennium should state that every time they accept an open ended teaser. But if they did, then that would cut down on winning open ended teasers being cancelled by Millennium.
