From FindLaw .com a non partisan web site, the military records of both Bush and Kerry are accessable (many of the documents are in PDF format).

But Wil,

All the righties are whining that there is no access to Kerry's military records. The righties have to be correct - all those government records have to be total bullshvt - probably slapped toegther by some left wing Kerry for president group with no regard for the truth.

Mud - I really don't know what else they (right wing supporters) can ask for. I noticed an interesting Kerry record in PDF form. Does this sound like a man interested in avoiding combat?

Mud, all Kerry has to do is sign Form 180 that will authorize the Navy to release ALL Kerry's personal records. Of course he refuses to do this...any reason why?

Wil,

To me it's pretty obvious. To me, this is a cold calculating move in 1967 to bolster his presidential aspirations in 2004.

The righties crack me up no end. Seriously, I hope they continue to press this issue cause it only hurts their cause as most people eventually see thru dirty tactics and respond negatively. For example, today in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, there was a bunch of letters published from people that were outraged by a column by righty pundit Jim Wooten that ran on Sunday in which he repeated all of the Swift Boat for Truth allegations verbatim and basically declared Kerry unfit for the presidency.

So, eventually if they keep this up, it will bite 'em in the ass.

I do know one thing the fact remains that John Kerry volunteered for service and served honorably and courageously under fire. His fellow crewmates have attested to his leadership, skill, and bravery. On April 20th this year the Kerry Campaign posted on its official website the military records that the U.S. Navy provided Kerry on his active military service from 1966-1970. What other records remain undisclosed is a mystery to me. How about asking Mr. Bush how he managed to get into the Texas Air National Guard without special treatment despite the fact that he jumped ahead of 150 applicants while scoring in the low 25% on the pilot aptitude test.
