Jack of Hearts, quick question:

Why did you switch to $ W/L?
Since it is a tracking of my picks and totals, can you change it up a bit for me?

I am going to start with a banroll of $1000.00
My actual wager amounts will be 1 unit = $50.

I want to start this coming Monday.

I thank you for all your hard work you have been doing for me and I hope you have benefited from my system picks. I have no problem tracking myself in this new thread I would like to start. If you wish to do it, obviously that is OK by me. I would just like it done in this new way. As for my overall record, I would like to start from scratch as well. We could always add the 2 records together throughout ther season to get an overall.
I am taking the advice of those who said to withdraw some money from my account. I have built a nice amount and will withdraw it all but $1000.
Monday is my estimated time to start this. Reason I say estimated is because I will probable have a couple of pending plays and I don't want to have to make a 4 unit wager right off the bat with a $1000 starting balance.

I am also taking the next step to my system now that I have stats for the first half of the season. I was going to wait until after the allstar break, but the slump is calling for some improvements.

Hope this makes sence Jack and everyone else. Let me know if you wish to track me. If not, no problem, I will device one myself so those who wish to follow can do so easily.

Hey Mike,

I have just noticed that you are also a Cannucker - eh!!!
I had posted a question to you earlier in regards to your system...........
Have you used this in past years? And if so.....what was the overall result??

Now...I suspect this is new to you as one of your earlier comments was along the lines of how surprised you were at it's success. And if you had know how well it would do, you would have been playing more per unit.
For me - arriving to the game late.....I am not up 70 units to play with - drat!!
Just wondering if you have any expectations for the rest of the year.

Guys, all good things are not coming to an end. I will use the same system, but am going to add an edge. It will improve. I still do not like the amount of plays I am making. There should not be that many games per night that stand out. So hopefully the addition to my system will help strengthen my plays.

My tracking will not be even remotely close to that of Jack's. I will do my best to make it look understandable. It's all about the picks, and the success will continue.

At best, I think the record should reflect it as a push and those lucky few that received 3.5 on the overnight line will have the better record.

Buck: New here, but I think it's a bad idea to fiddle with the records based on a majority of where the line fell. If he got it and won with it, that's what it is... can you imagine the recordkeeping, going back and forth to make sure it was what was best for everyone? I'm certainly in favor accurate recordkeeping. But having lurked here for a while, I can assure that Mike dosen't regularly post inflated or even difficult to obtain lines. As a matter of fact, he seems to rarely be concerned with the exact line...

Mike originally posted his lines at 1:04 AM yesterday, including Detroit +3.5 (see post #14 in this thread). Since you say that WAS the overnight line, I would call it legitimate. I'm not really here to scrutinize his lines, just to track his results. I think I've gone above and beyond the call of duty here as it is. No big deal...Mike will track himself starting Monday.

Jack, you have tracked me to perfection buddy. Hopefully no one is thinking otherwise. I post the lines and you chart them.

For those who think I am padding lines, I'm not. I actually took the advice of steam (thank you again) who said, "take favourites early and dogs late."
My problem is I do work alot and can not always get to making my wagers, so I take what I can get at times. BUT I HAVE NEVER, AND WILL NEVER PAD A LINE!

I bet with Bet On Sports, which I hear is not a great offshore. Should I switch books, and if so, which is the best? I'm thinking PINNACLE?

Anyway, I got Chicago -3.5 last night, along with my Phoenix and Boston bets.
If you don't believe me, I can cut and paste my picks from my "open tickets" page @ betonsports.com.

Same with Detroit bet @+3.5. I thought this line would drop, so I took it early and it payed off. Again, thanks to steamer, I try to get the best value out of my lines.
For those who lost the Detroit bet, I think I will be on Detroit again (for 1 unit) when they play Denver tomorrow. Plus, if Denver wins in Chicago tonight, I will wager the largest amount tomorrow fading Denver, because this pick fits my system to perfection. If I lose the 2 units fading Denver tonight, I will wager 4 units fading Denver @Detroit tomorrow, plus, I will add 1 unit (possible 2 units) on Detroit. That's a total of 6 units ($300), which is a lot for me. I see Detroit winning by 20+ points.
