To me this is by far the biggest play I will make this year, maybe the last two years. Michigan State is as live a dog as you can get and should be the favorite in this contest by 4. I've done my research and would like to hear from some of your opinions on this game. Regardless I am all over Michigan State and if I was a tout I would declare THE GAME OF YEAR title to this one. OSU could only score FGs against a pitiful Purdue team. I like MSU +3.5 here.

Ohio State is the play here, no doubt about it. Ohio State is underachieving this season. Keep in mind that Ohio State was favored over MSU last year by 18 points at home!! Ohio State dominated that game, outgaining Michigan State 422-185. Were it not for two late fluke plays, Michigan State would not have covered the huge spread. The Buckeyes completely dominated the game, especially in the trenches, where Michigan State's line was moving backwards consistently.

Ohio State returns 19 starters from the team that for all intents and purposes whipped MSU last year.

MSU is getting lucky this year. In four games this year against Notre Dame, IU, Iowa and Northwestern, MSU has been outgained 375-354 ypg. That is not very impressive given that those 4 teams are not all that great. It is clear to me that Ohio State is the underrated team while Michigan State is for sure the overrated team. Take the Buckeyes.

michigan state has played california,
eastern mi, fla atl, n.d., indiana, iowa
and n.w... this is the test of the season.
every year state takes a crap over the
last 4 or 5 gms. if ohio state can stop
j. ringer, i say ohio state wins by 10-14.
ohio state has only given 725 rushing yds
thru 7 games. mi. state has 6 td passes. no
javon ringer, no win! good luck with your
wager.

Ohio State will win this by a touchdown +. I don't think MSU is ready for this big ball game. They barely beat Iowa, and Iowa should have won that game if they didn't have the worst offensive coordinator in college football. Ohio State will be able to run all over MSU, and I don't think MSU will be able to run it, the Road Warrior's Hawk's kid will not let it happen. OSU's defense will be up for the challenge of Ringer's 4.5 ypc, and I think you will see Ringer slow down because of the amount of carries he has already had. Hoyer has no chance!

Don't do it....

OSU has done this before, MSU hasn't. I almost guarantee that MSU shits the bed here...

OSU's offense is woeful and Tressel is one of the worst 5 coaches in college football, yet OSU ALMOST ALWAYS beats the teams on the schedule it should beat (i.e. weaker big 10 teams).

OSU is probably my biggest play of the day...

This game is a total mismatch in the trenches in favor of Ohio State and the line is only -3. I don't see how that qualifies as a bet of the year on Michigan State. Want a bet of the year? Take Georgia to annihilate Vandy in a cigar game.

I have this game as a pick em or so and took +3.5.

PS, to nd2000, Ohio State has monsters in the trenches and on paper it looks like a total domination. The thing is, all the highly-recruited studs of last year are playing like crap this season. Just not producing anywhere near where they should be. I have no idea why either.

They'll get it going. Just like the Colts blew out the Ravens on Sunday after looking like crap for most of the season. Ohio State is going to break out. They are too talented not too. Trust me.

You have the game as a pick 'em based on what we have seen this year so far. But that doesn't help you beat the Vegas spread. The oddmakers are watching the same games you are, so you aren't gaining an advantage. They can compile ratings just as well as you can if not better.

To gain an edge, you need to know which way a team's power rating is likely headed. No way Michigan State is increasing their power rating. They are in the sell category. Ohio State is low priced with a great amount of room to increase their power rating based on what they have done the past several years. An obvious buy low candidate clearly. Buy low, sell high, that's how you win.

MSU is an average football team. They only beat Iowa by 3 pts at home in a game where Iowa turned the ball over 3 times inside MSU's 20.
Play of the yr is OSU.

Great breakdown. You and 90% of the public look at games like this. Good luck getting a 2nd job to pay the book after this one.

He's right though. If this were week one, and the line was OSU -3, you would have laughed at how bad the line was. You would have put a huge bet on Ohio State. All that has changed is your perception of Ohio State. Teams that struggle ATS in the first half of the season often tear it up ATS in the second half, and i look for the Buckeyes to do exactly that.

Yo Phillyman, what happened to you and your source in the service plays forum? Congrats on the Phillies winning the NLCS.

BTW, I'm on Ohio State on Saturday. Michigan State hasn't shown me anything, and Pryor is starting to roll.

This is the first true test in the Big10for the Spartans. While Hoyer was excellent last week, he hasnt faced a defense like OSU's yet. The Spartans will TRY to rely on Ringer to carry the workload for them. OSU's offense has been very weak but Wells was huge last year (222 yards) in OSU's win. I would love to see an upset here, but I'm not sure if MSU has it in them facing this tough a D. I think OSU wins a close one, but it's a no-play for me. Certainly not a "game of the year" either way.

I think Mich St deserves a bit more credit this year, and there schedule has been fairly competitive. Something tells me Ohio St will walk by a TD though. Ohio St may actually cover a game this fucking year. Staying away regardless
