Guys, I see huge value here b/c of the OSU hype.

Here is what i am seeing:

MSU +12 versus OSU (Late November, with OSU having Michigan on deck)
MSU+980 Big 10 Champs
MSU +2800 National Champs

Here is my thought-process:

MSU and OSU have one game to determine representation at Big 10 championship. There side of the equation wins the Big 10 championship as i see no chance Wisconsin or Nebraska can beat either of them.

With that said, I think OSU on the road, at night, in the game of their season, against their first real test (cupcakes until then, leading to ill-prepared team), with MSU coach Dantonio, with 24 returning seniors on MSU....Ohio State may not WIN. Cover 12 points? That's free money - no way in hell. OSU WIN, going to take the best performance of the last two years.

Where do i go from here?

Take the +12 now and wrap up 1100 to win 1000? Hate to tie up capital like that - and i can't see my book giving me a bigger wager amount given it's a future.

Take the +12 and parlay with another game (maybe twice)? 500 on MSU + 12 plus OPEN; 500 on MSU +12 plus OPEN?

Take MSU to win Big 10 (assume win against OSU) and put 500 down on MSU to win and get to Big 10 game and win? 500 to win 5000?

Take MSU to win NC (assumes OSU win, Big 10 champ win, NC playoff spot, and win of two games) - 500 pays 13000+.


Interested in how folks think i should play this...I'm not interested in opinions that say - ain't going to happen; feel free to say so. I am interested in folks who recommend a solid play based on my beliefs with risk mgmt and capital tie-up in mind.

I got lucky. i also picked Duke to win March Madness and won another 5k. I went to Cancun, Disney World, have all new gear, etc. Truth is, it made up for probably 5-6 years of break-even or losing seasons. I had an amazing run...cannot count on such success again. And to think i did that without the great help of others would be silly...many from this site have helped me succeed...

consider it a little too bullish on my own skills trying to get some twitter followers past my brother and sister. lol

Every season, despite the success, it's the same thing for MSU, they get overshadowed by the latest flavor. They seem to like playing with a chip. And now for the kicker, the jinx Cleveland Plain Dealer, the defacto Big Ten prediction poll is now 0-4 since taking on the task. Ohio State is a runaway favorite.

MSU won't beat Ohio St. Ohio St. is on a completely different level than everyone else in CFB this year. They won it all last year with a very young team. Now, not only do they return a lot of experience, they also have one of the top two coaches in the game. MSU on the other hand lost their starting RB, and lost their top WR, who was by far Cook's favorite target. They also lost the next leading WR in terms of yards, their #2 RB, as well as their DC, which I believe is an largely understated loss by most people. I would agree with you that MSU +12 is a good bet, but to call it free money is a bit absurd considering Ohio St. beat them by 12 in East Lansing last year, and whats returning in terms of production on both sides.

Im one of the firsts that pointed out what msu lost....its like 40 tds or close to it. The wr-qb conection needs time to gel and cook is a gambler at times, but I've come around on the rb situation considering the oline is very, very good and they've done nothinf but reload. Madre London is going to be fine...and I dont think an early loss to Oregon is the end of the world.

The OSU-MSU game is at the Shoe. Ohio State is not on the road in this game.

1. I cannot believe i got in my head and didn't think to look at one of my five mags on my coffee table to actually confirm OSU was on the road first...that seemed like a completely inflated and unrealistic line walking into their house. at the shoe? i'm not talking free money anymore, but still a decent wager. However, i cannot get behind a SU win for MSU anymore. that's a tough tough position for them to win in. I stand corrected.

2. Actually, i won a lot more than 30k. If you also count the Duke NC bet. It's hilarious how tough you guys are on keyboards - you can't believe someone can actually win money like that? Really? All those posts - "boy" - been here longer then you.
