Both of these teams are horrible, and being a Michigan fan, i cant see Michigan being favored many times this year. Too much inconsistent QB play and OL. Defense plays well so i'd wait to see what the total is on the game, but the line I probably will be staying away from. Also, first road game this year for Michigan playing a lot of freshman, might be tough to cover that.

Mich DL should annihilate a ND OL that is clearly not improved. Got to think Michigan Offense will get better every week too

Mchigan's defense is good. Clausen is horrible, almost as bad as Threet, but does not have a defense behind him. If ND figures out that Michigans quarterback is truely not a threat to run, ND can win. Michigan, because of their defense, can cover this number...barely. Just my thoughts.

I'll take Michigan. ND almost lost to SDSU - they are beyond awful.

Hey Charlie Cheeseburger - how's the King of Xs and Os doing in South Bend?? That pink slip is coming buddy. Hope you haven't burned your bridges in the NFL.

Clausen is not horrible, he's much better than Threet.

Michigan/under
unless huge changes made; which might leak out later in week

Irish suck big time.
Wolverines still struggling to learn new system, but seem less disadvantaged than N.D.

I think the play is Mich.
ND is that bad.
I would not be surprised if ND loses there TV contract this year.

I think they are a team one can make money betting against.

ND left at least 17 points on the field vs SDSU (2 red zone TO's and one blocked FG). I think they were holding back the playbook as well. I refuse to believe that after last year's debacle that they did not improve, and they are only 8 points better than SDState. I admit I am biased because I am an ND fan.

However, truth be told, there are other games this week that look so much more appealing from a gambling standpoint. Even if I wasn't biased, I wouldn't put any $$$ on Mich either, after what I saw in week one.

I think ND is the play here. I watched the game against SD St and they had many chances to break that game open. Clausen has the talent to be a fantastic QB if he's given time.

ND has a decent team that can beat Michigan. They should be -4 favorites here IMO. I do have them to get U 7 wins on the season though so I wouldn't be too upset to be wrong about this game.

Posted a bunch in Conan's thread on this game. Guarantee that 38-0 score from 2007 will be all the motivation needed. ND left a lot of points on the field last week, but it was only their first game. If teams improve the most from week one to week two, then someone please explain how they could back Michigan on the road at a pick? They scored 6 points after the 1st qtr vs Miami Ohio. Utah gave them a lot of points too. ND blitzed alot last week, SD St used many short routes. Can't see Michigan's lack of playmakers on offense exploiting this. If ND can take care of the ball, they should win by 10+ points. This is the worst Michigan team since the late 60's.

For those seeking to understand the Notre Dame perspective, I recommend Mackay's "Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds". You might also re-read "The Emperor's New Clothes".

If that doesn't guarantee a Notre Dame victory, I don't know what will.

Call it The Toilet Bowl. Neither of them are in the top 60 imo. Which one is the biggest turd? ND seems to be the turd with the most corn in it, so take Michigan in this one.

There is a reason they weren't able to break the game open, they SUCK!

Notre Dame came within 6 inches of losing the game. If the guy doesn't fumble at the goalline, Irish are down 20-7 and no way in hell they would have come back.

I said during (I believe Fair Warning's post of ND over under) this team has no talent whatsoever. They will not win 5 games.

This team is god awful. As much as I would like to blame cheeseburger Charlie, it is the execution starting with the OL and QB. Their receivers are not exactly Jerry Rice either.

Neither team has shown any ability to move the ball consistently. I think the under is the play here, first team to 17 points wins the game.
