Say what you will about Michael Vick, I like to see someone turn their life around.

Nike has re-signed Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick to an endorsement deal, nearly four years after dropping him amid his legal troubles.

The sports giant, which signed Vick as a rookie in 2001, terminated his contract in August 2007 after he filed a plea agreement admitting his involvement in a dogfighting ring.

Vick spent 21 months in prison and his reputation was left in tatters as the grisly details of the ring emerged.

How has he turned his life around? He's the exact same person he was when he went to prison with the exception that he is broke.

He is now playing the song and dance to get his money back, that's all.

And remember, he didn't develope a concious and stop torturing dogs he got caught.

You continue to get your opinions from the media who act like Vick is some victim, but this doesn't change the fact that he is the victimizer.

First of all let me get this out in the air, I am an animal lover. What he did was despicable and plain disgusting. That being said, the man did his time and paid the price for it. Maybe he isn't sorry, maybe he is. I would tend to believe that he regrets doing what he did but that is juts me. We have all fucked up at one time in life or another, maybe not on the scale he did but still we fuck up. If the man pays his time then I can forgive...

Vick is marketable again by the public's willing's to forgive him.

Not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing. Market has determined and I'm cool with that.

I wouldn't shed a tear if he got hit by a bus. People are too easy to forgive others... how about not fucking up in the first place... try that out.

Vick is broke and if he changes or appears to change, he will have tens of millions again. Do you think he is going to act like a thug right now? Maybe he has changed and maybe he hasn't. But there is no way to know if he has turned his life around or not. But I'm a Christian and a sinner too. So I can't put him down for his past. I have done bad things as well.

I guess we all cant be as perfect as you are.. BTW Holding a grudge takes up twice as much energy as forgiving and moving on with life..

'carried me in FF last year, so more power to him' that is the mentality that allows this type of shit. Put it in perspective, a felon in our country has a hard time finding a job and has to make numerous and large changes in his life just to get a decent job, this thug 'does his time' walks out and within acouple years its as if it never happened. And sports fans or whatever find it ok, unreal...I'm done wasting my time with this turd. Hope he blows out his knee, can't play and has to find a 'real' job. I would guess something in the streets. Anyone seen his brother, probbaly working with the homeless.

Theres lots of players with talents like Mike Vick that dont pan out. Tons of people make mistakes, got to give people a chance to make up for them.

And not being a fuckup takes up half as much energy as electrocuting dogs. Good points all around.

Some of you guys are lost because you want to be lost. Having compassion for victims isn't jealously. And how pathetic some of you are to believe torturing dogs is just some mistake.

Your behavior is a function of your personality and personality doesn't change. Vick tortured dogs for 7 years and then he got caught.

Some of you heartless people who think Vick is a victim need to watch this video and see what dog fighting is all about.

never shouldve gone to prison to begin with.

ive seen worse things here with horse starvation and animal neglect and the owners just get a fine or misdemeanor.

they only went after him because he was a big name and to make an example of him.

im also for redemption and second chances.

more power to him. make all the money you can.

It's not surprising you can't rap your brain around it. Pointing to bad behavior to excuse bad behavoir. Pathetic!
