Last year Miami had their first National TV primetime appearance against Marshall and were given the shaft by the refs in Huntington.

This time, they are at home in Oxford, Ohio, and the story will be different. The Redskins prove they are the cream of the crop in the MAC this year. Lay the 7.

No doubt Mosi. I follow the MAC and have seen Miami and Bowling Green this year. Miami is very good. I'll be playing them large tonight.

Bowling Green has already showed they can play on the road in beating Purdue and hanging with Ohio State. Their Rush D is just as good as Miami's (see Michael Turner last week). While they're strength may be the run, they do that wacky spread stuff - this should be a tight contest. If this moves to 7.5, I'd think you have to take the points.

Gasket,

agreed that BG did a nice job last week against the N. Ill rush, but a big concern for me is the success that both Eastern and Central Michigan had on the ground against them -- EMU played them pretty tough.

I think the BOOKS are looking for BG action and the public appears to be all over them despite the line moving in favor of BG -- I have to agree with Miami here, but won't be playing it too large.

The Redskins come home to Yager Stadium to square off against BG. The RedHawks (7-1, 4-0 MAC), and lurking just outside the rankings, are taking on the No. 15/20 Falcons (7-1, 4-0 MAC) in a match-up of the Mid-American Conference's lone remaining undefeated teams. Heisman Trophy Candidate, quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger is poised to show off his NFL talent in the first primetime national television game in Oxford. Look for him to go to Martin Nance early and often in this contest as he displays why he is one of the best in the country.

The Redskins are 5-3 ATS this season, including 2-1 ATS and 3-0 SU at home. Impressive road victories include a slaughter of Northwestern (44-14) and more importantly a whipping of Colorado State (41-21). The fell short to Iowa in the opener but played better than the final score indicated (3-21).

BG comes in 4-2 ATS, with two non-lined games against powers, Liberty and Eastern Kentucky. On the road they are 3-1 ATS and SU, with impressive performance at OSU (17-24) and a victory at Purdue (27-26).

Miami has won seven games in a row, the third longest winning streak in the country, and are averaging an eye-popping 45.4 points per game during the stretch.

I see quite a few people on BG tonight on this board and on the consensus boards. The line shows me the respect that Vegas has for this high powered offense and the team in general.

This is as close to a homer as I will ever come because I simply do not let emotions come into play when on a game. I am pumped because I truly believe Miami is the right side of the game tonight.

you are showing your age mosi, miami redskins isn't pc enough. i wish they had changed their nickname to either the corrupt politicians or tree huggers. i think this could end up being a pretty close game. i'm sure it is as big of deal to bg to be on national tv as it is for the redhawks. i think everyone that tunes in tonight is going to be very impressed by these two qbs. my concern is the backdoor cover should miami get a decent lead because bg can also put up some points. here it is almost 6:30 and i can't make a decision. good luck tonight.

I do not recognize the name "Redhawks". I was a Redskin for four years and will always be one. The caved to some politcal pressure for reasons unknown. The name Redskins was supported by the Miami, a member of the American Indian orginating in the Miami Valley. It was meant as, and accepted as, an honor for many years, not a slight. But the times have changed.

Thanks Sportbet. One last time for me because my alma mater may never have another primetime national television game at home again.

Sweet to see them win, and cover for the money. Beautiful!

u really know your shit mosi glad u swayed me this time. my youngest brother is a bg grad. so he hates me now but i got more money than him now.

Mosi I hate to say it but this may setup Marshall as the next key play in the MAC domino effect.

NIU goes to BG highly touted and gets wrecked...

BG goes to your Skins

and gets wrecked...

Miami GETS Marshall (the one stickler that could sway me off this one is the Reds are at home).........and Marshall isn't really the Marshall of old. I have to do more research but I hope your school can buck the trend for you.

Good luck the rest of the way...and congrats on a good pick tonight. Next time I'll listen and put some money down on it.

Sportsbet, the domino effect could very well happen. However, there will be several reason why it will not.

Actually i mentioned above that I needed to enjoy this victory because I did not know when Miami would ever have another home national tv game. Well, it looks like it is next Wednesday at home against Marshall on espn2 again.

With that being said, they are at home, where as BG had to go on the road after their big win. Marshall qb Stan Hill is out for the rest of the year and this is not the Marshall of the past few years. This is a huge revenge game for the Redskins as they had the game taken away from them by the refs in Huntington last year. Not only did it cost them the game but their defensive coordinator as he was accused of hitting a fan after the crowd rushed the field. He was suspended by the team and then resigned due to the allegations, which were later dropped

The fans will be pumped, Miami will be in the Top 25 for the first time since 1974, Roethlisberger will surely play better than he did last night, revnege from last year and the fact that Marshall is leaving the conference for Conference USA will all lead to a good ole whipping.

Will wait to see what kind of line they hang on the game, but Miami will win straight up.
