LARRY NESS 10* MAC PLAY $25.00
This is the first MAC Championship Game for both teams and a re-match of their Tuesday night showdown back on 11/4, won by Miami 33-10. That was an UGLY game as neither team played all that well including the two stars, QBs Josh Harris BG) and Ben Roethlisberger (Mia). Harris had THREE of BG's four fumbles and they were ALL costly. Roethlisberger had a fumble and an interception and didn't throw a TD pass for just the second game all year (the other was his four-interception disaster at Iowa). Big Ben has led the Redhawks to 11 straight wins since that Iowa loss however, completing almost 70% of his passes with 25 TDs and just five interceptions as Miami has averaged 45.5 ppg in the streak! BG's Josh Harris hasn't gotten Big Ben's 'pub' but he's fourth in the nation in total offense (Ben is 6th!) and he's completed 65.1% of his passes with 22 TDs and nine INTs while rushing for almost 700 yards and 11 TDs! BG has the better balanced offense rushing for 210 ypg and throwing for 297 ypg. Defensively BG has COME UP BIG at home this year holding Northern Illinois to 18 points (they averaged 32 on the season) and last Saturday they held Toledo to just 23 (the Rockets entered averaging 33.3 ppg). Miami's had a 'dream' season and is going to the GMAC Bowl, its first bowl since 1986, regardless of the outcome. Revenge doesn't always work in these conference title games but BG is one tough customer at home. The last three years they are 16-1 SU at home, including 3-0 ATS as a home dog, winning those games OUTRIGHT 42-23, 56-21 and 51-28! If you saw the condition of Bowling Green's field last Saturday it can't help but give the Falcons an edge here. Revenge doesn't always work but it should here! 10* Bowling Green.
