1ST PLAY is a prop bet at 5dimes:
1. Carolina never leads + 160
2nd play is going on my assumption that the Pats win the game, but I don't want to lay the points. I am going to treat this all as one bet. If I win or lose more than .50 units it will count as one win or one loss on my record. If it's less than .50 units it will count as a push. Either way I will be adding up all of the units to go on the total. Just wanting to say this is not going to be treated as three plays, but one, on my overall record. This is all to be considered one play as overall strategy is incorporated.

Patriots ML - 200 1st half(Olympic)win 1 unit
Car. ML + 165 1st qtr(Pinn,5dimes)risk 1/2 unit
Car. ML + 170 2nd qtr(Pinn,Olympic)risk 1/2 unit
I feel the Pats win the first half and the Panthers may be able to get a push or possibly win one quarter. I am not willing to lay 3.5 on the Pats first half. If you didn't want to go this route I would recommend playing the Pats - .5 -105 in the 1st qtr and or play ML Pats - 200 in the first half.

Hansen - Thanks. I feel the Pats win the game and lead from the start. Hence, play number one. Play number 2, I have no downside as long as the Pats win the first half. I'm just hoping they do it in big fashion in one of the first two quarters and possibly lose or push the other quarter. That would be my maximum gain. If the Pats win the half and Car wins one of the quarters I could win 1.7 units with bet number 2. I think it is a distinct possibility too.

Oren: What's up man. Pats 1st qtr is the lean and what I mentioned I'd take as one of the plays if I didn't take these. Bet number one is telling you I like the Pats from the kickoff. I don't see Carolina ever leading in this game. But, I like the way I have the bets positioned better than what I said the alternatives where: Pats 1st qtr and ML 1st half. What the hell are you doing up so early on the west coast anyway? Or are you just now calling it a night?

Guys this Carolina team has played some horrible QB's in the playoffs. Q.Carter for Dallas was not good, Bulger was a waste case, and McNabb and his receivers were ugly. Yes, Carolina D had somethng to do with this and so did Mike Martz. The Pats had a better regular season and have played much better competition in the playoffs, have been at home, had a bye week after the regular season. This is Carolina's 3rd road game in a row and they have been on the road this time for a week straight. I'll give Carolina their props for being here, but they do not walk away with the Vince Lombardy trouphy imo.

i agree with the ne 1st, but i don't understand the car ml 1st, & 2nd? other than a possible hedge.
i do think the panther d will get burned early --combination of nerves, and youth. i think troy brown will come up big early. manning is a awesome talent, but his OVER-pursuit could get him in trouble against a cagey vet. i am having a hard time figuring out what happens when/if the panthers settle down; the two week preparation is hard to read. i think perhaps, the best opportunity in this game might be in the 2nd half when we've had an opportunity to evaluate some of these intangibles.

Hansen - Yes the Carolina in each qtr is a hedge to a large extent for sure. I generally don't like to post more than one unit per outcome, or multiple plays that basically rely on the same outcome. So, I'm posting what I think are the best ways to get to the end result with a lesser amount of risk.
