Going to meet with someone today to take off these extra lbs and tone up. I always wondered how much these guys cost for the meal plan and all that so finally checking it out. As much as I want to deal directly with a trainer for my workouts if this guy is more then $250 a month then im out. Anyone use a trainer before?? How were the results?

You should ask around and ask for references. I think if you need someone to motivate you and how you how the stuff works, then go for it. Personally, I think its a waste of money. You can walk up to anyone and ask how to work certain machine or some excerise. I've been working out for 7+ years, and I have no problem showing people how to work certain machine. Just dont expect me to "train" you while I'm working out.

I have seen people with personal trainers for more than 6 months and I noticed no difference in their appearance. There might be more to this but who knows.

Well thats out. The best package deal he offered was $650 for 10 1 hour appointments paid in prior and in full. $50 an hr and then another $15 because I wasnt a gym member. He tells me what and when to eat. Also develops a fitness plan for me but I just dont think its worth it. I can do a kick boxing class for $80 a month and burn 500 calories an hour, may actually look into that.

There is way too much free info out there to be paying anyone for training. 95% of all trainers have basic knowledge at best. They make their money by selling useless powders and pills.

If you have never been to the gym, a trainer can be useful. Otherwise they are just glorified babysitters. Paying someone to adjust the seat and fetch dumb bells is stupid. If they are at least entertaining, funny, or a hot chick, maybe I could understand how you might justify the expense.

The only reason I was going to go see a trainer was to keep motivated. Now that I know it would cost me $650 a month I have found the motivation to go by myself.

Pay me $650/mth and I'll make sure to give you a personal fluffer!

heh

I have no problems helping you out with a strategy/meal plan here, at the site. What I recommend is starting a new thread calling it

"DennyCrane's Quest to lose xxx pounds" or something to that nature. I would LOVE to see what you eat everyday, at what times and what supplements you take, if any. I would also like to see your exercise regimen too. Need motivation? Ha, start that journal and update it everyday, with possible progress pics, that'll keep you motivated!

Hell, I'll enjoy doing this and I'm not going to charge you shit! We're here to help each other out, and this will be fun. Email me and I'll get you started on how to get this up and running.

Thats really nice of you. My diet is the worst possible nightmare you could imagine. I do everything backwards, from eating light in the morning and heavy at night to drinking too much soda and no water. I have to start there, if you can think of a good meal plan, high protien low carb for me that would be cool. Or just some suggestions would be really helpful. I dont take supplements right now. Do you know of any good ones for fat loss? Thanks for the help!!!

I'm a bit busy today, so I won't be able to respond, but supps aren't necessary, ESPECIALLY if you're not eating/exercising correctly.

Can the sodas and drink water, step #1
